Scarlett's POV
I hang up the phone and throw it next to me. I lied when I said I had work, because my mood just dropped after she talked about the woman. I did not mean to sound jealous, but I can't help it.
I decide to look up who Ava Jenson is. I go to Google and type in her name. I see a page of an NGO and I'm guessing that's the right person. Shit, she's beautiful. I was secretly hoping it would be a sixty-year-old woman with a walker, but I guess not. This is not helping my jealousy.
I close the tab and get a text from Lizzie. 'Hey, have you seen this?' She says followed by a link to an article. I click on the link and am instantly confronted by a picture of Jade hugging Ava, who is wearing her uniform. My heart sinks as I try to contain my jealousy. I need to trust her. She told me honestly that they spent the morning together, that means she's faithful right? Otherwise, she wouldn't even tell me about her.
I decide to text Lizzie back. 'I didn't, but Jade did tell me she met Ava and interviewed her. The picture was probably taken afterwards.'
I put my phone down and decide to continue with my day. I can't make assumptions until I talk to Jade again. I hear little footsteps come running towards the couch and I'm greeted by Rose jumping next to me.
"Mommy, was that Jade on the phone?" She asks me. I put on a smile and nod. "Yes, sweetie, it was." She has a big smile on her face. "How is she?"
"She is doing well. She had a good interview today and might be coming home a bit earlier." I tell her. She squeals in excitement before running back to her room. This girl is truly a ball of energy.
I get up and decide to go to set anyway. I don't have to shoot any scenes, but I'll just check on everyone else. I tell Rose that she'll be alone for a few hours, which she seems to be fine with. I lock the front door behind me and make my way to set.
Once there, I am greeted by the cast, who all seem to be confused as to why I'm here. I make small-talk before walking to my trailer for some peace and quiet. After five minutes I get interrupted by a knock on my door. I sigh before opening the door. I'm greeted by Lizzie, who has a concerned frown on her face.
She pushes her way past me and walks in. "Please, do come in." I say sarcastically as I close the door behind her. She sits down at the table and I sit down across from her. "What brings you to my trailer with a frown on your face?" I ask her. She gives me a look in return.
"How are you after seeing the article? I know you're jealous, so don't even try lying to me." She says. I chuckle lightly at her detective attitude. "You're right, I am jealous. I looked up who the woman is and she is beautiful and around our age. She does all this stuff for refugees and I'm just scared Jade's going to like her more than me." I tell her honestly.
"When me and Jade were together I already knew she had her eyes on you, even if she didn't know herself. The way she looks at you is a look full of adoration and love. This one woman is definitely not going to change that." She assures me. I sigh, knowing that she is right.
"I know, and you're right. I just don't know why my brain works this way. Maybe it's some shit Colin put in my head when he cheated on me." I said. She nods in thought. "That would make a lot of sense. But please, Scar, don't let his stupid choice affect your relationship with Jade. You have something solid going on, hold onto that."
With that, she gets up and walks towards the door. "Thanks, Lizzie." I tell her. She smiles at me before leaving me alone in my trailer. I decide to go back home to Rose, now that Lizzie calmed my mind.
As I get back home, my phone rings. I see that it's Jade, so I pick up. "Hi." I say. "Hi baby, I'm guessing that you saw the article by now. Please let me assure you that nothing is going on between me and Ava. We are not even friends and she just hugged me as a thanks for filming the documentary and paying attention to what they do for work. I love you and would never cheat on you." She starts rambling.
"I know babe, I just got a little jealous, but I trust you and know you wouldn't hurt me like that." I say reassuring her that we're fine. "Thank god. I'm so sorry that the paparazzi followed me to Greece and started spreading rumours. I did not mean to give that impression. If you want, I'll stop hanging out with her." She proposes.
"You don't need to do that, but please watch out for the paps. I do not want a PR disaster to deal with." I chuckle. "I'll watch out. Love you!" "Love you too, babe" And with that, we both hang up.
I put my phone back down on the kitchen counter and let out a sigh of relief. I'm so thankful for her.
