Scarlett's POV

Today is August 22nd, the day I'll marry the woman I love.

It still feels surreal to think that by tonight, we will be wife and wife. The past few months have been filled with wedding planning and shopping.

I decided on a beautiful wedding dress whereas Jade wanted to get married in a white suit. We both haven't seen the other's garment and won't until the moment we meet at the end of the aisle.

We were currently getting ready to leave to go to the venue where we'll get dressed and get our hair and makeup done. The venue will be a beautiful beach front in Malibu. We decided to do it close to home so all our closest friends and family could come.

It'll be a smaller ceremony with about only family members. The afterparty will be open to all our friends, including the whole Marvel cast. They've meant so much to me these past ten years, that it was a given to invite them.

"Ready to go, fiancée?" Jade asks, putting the emphasis on the word 'fiancée'. I shake my head with a smirk. "Yes, future wife. Let's go."

She takes my hand and we walk towards the car that's waiting for us outside. She helps me in and moves to the other side to get in herself. As the driver takes us towards the venue, I take a moment to admire the view. No, not Jade for once, but the beautiful nature.

During the whole drive, Jade's holding my hand while stroking the top with her thumb as the looks out of the window. "What are you thinking about?" I ask her, pulling her out of her thoughts. She looks at me and gives me a slight smile that still makes my heart flutter.

"Us. How we even got to this point. I'm still having a hard time believing it." She admits. I bring our hands to my lips and kiss the top of hers. "Me too. But it's happening and I wouldn't want to marry anyone else." Her smile widens before her gaze turns back to the window.

"Jimmy must be so proud of himself right now, being the one who indirectly brought us together. I'm glad he's our wedding officiant." She says with a smile. I chuckle and nod in agreement. Realising that she can't see it I say a quick 'me too'.

After a while we reach our venue and both mine and Jade's jaw still drops at the sight. Sure, we checked it out a while ago, but it looked so beautiful without any clouds in the sky. Jade gets out first before helping me out the car. After over a year of knowing each other she's still a gentlewoman.

Once inside the venue we go into separate rooms to get ready. This would be the last time we see each other before the ceremony. She gives me a kiss before leaving me to get ready. I go into my room and am greeted by my mom and sister. They squeal in excitement and go in for the group hug.

"Are you ready for your big day?" Vanessa asks me. "I've been waiting for this for months." I tell her honestly. She ushers me in front of a vanity where my hair stylist is waiting for me.

We talk about everything and anything before moving to my makeup. We decide on a more natural look that would be suitable for the beach vibe we have for the wedding. As we're finishing up, my mom pulls the dress out of its protective bag. My eyes light yup at the sight. It truly is a beautiful dress.

My mom and sister both help me into my dress, both holding back tears from happiness. I was already having a hard time not to cry, imagine how much of a mess I'll be at the altar when dad gives me away.

My mom and sister give me kisses goodbye and wish me luck as they move to take their seats. My dad walks into the room and is in awe at how I look. "You look so beautiful honey." He says as he hugs me. "Thank you, dad. You look dapper" I compliment him.
