It was 9:25 the next morning I wasn't to hungover as I didn't have much to drink. I turned over to reach for my phone.
I scroll through Instagram. I get out of bed before walking over to my bathroom. I brush my teeth and then go and grab some clothes.
I pick out this:

I put some mascara on and grab my bag.
"T guess where I'm going." I say excitedly.
"Hmm shopping." She guesses.
"Nope I'm going to go get coffee with JJ." I smile.
"Did he ask you to go or the other way round." She smiles.
"He asked me." I say happily.
"Maddisonnn he deffo likes you." She laughs.
"Really?" I laugh.
"Well I better get going." I smile giving T a hug.
"Love ya Madds." Talia say hugging me back.
"Love you to." I smile.
I grab my car keys and he's out the door.
A car beeps. It was a Tesla.
JJ steps out of the car.
"JJ." I say walking over to him confused.
"How did you know this is where I lived?" I say puzzled.
"Talia you dumbo." He laughs.
"You think she didn't know." He smiles.
I give JJ a smile.
"She acted oblivious." I laugh.
JJ gives me a hug.
I step into the car and we drive of to the coffee shop.
"You look nice today." He says as we stop at a traffic light.
"Thank you," I smile. "You to."

We get to Costa and I jump out the car and grab my bag.
"Alright." JJ asks.
"Mhm." I smile.
We walk into and order our drinks.
JJ and I both ordered a hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream. After we go our drinks we found a table and sat at it.
"So Maddison tell me more about yourself." JJ smiles.
"Umm well I'm a Solicitor/Lawyer I and graduated uni a few years ago." I smile.
"For as long as i remember I've always wanted to help people out considering I didn't have the greatest of childhoods I want to make sure that every child has a good one so by being a solicitor I feel like I can bring those families happiness who are having difficulties." I smile.
"Awwh that's so sweet." He adds.
"Tell me a bit about you." I reply curiously.
"Well I'm JJ and I'm actually a YouTuber." He says quietly.
"That's cool, Talias a YouTuber as well and I'm gonna be 110% honest with you I don't really get how it works like do you just upload them and like then there on the internet?" I laugh taking a sip of my hot chocolate.
JJ smiles softly.
And then goes onto tell me how you have to edit them first and then yeah.
"Oh wow that's actually cool." I smile.
"What's that on your thumb." He asks as he lifts up my hand trying to look at it.
"Oh this." I say. My smile turns into a frown and JJ picks up on it.
"I'm so sorry." He says placing his hands on my hand.
The thing on my thumb had in-fact a deep and dark meaning.
"The scar on my thumb is where." I hesitate.
"Is where my Dad, he I'm, basically my parents abused me as a child. I say with a sad smile.
"And umm one day my dad shouted at me because I, I umm didn't clean a glass probably so he." I stop for a minute as a tears fall down my face. I wipe my eyes and carry on.
"He slapped me across the face which wasn't the first. Then he threw that glass I didn't wash probably right in front of me whilst my mum sat there and watched. Then piece after piece the glass smashed into bits and my Dad pushed me onto the glass but thankfully I fell so that it was only my thumb that went into the pile of glass and not my whole face." I say trying not to cry. I drink the remaining of my hot chocolate. JJ had already drank his.
He stands up. He walks over and wraps his arms around me. Even tho I've met him once it felt like I'd known him my whole life. I stayed there in his arms. They made me feel somewhat safe.
A feeling I don't feel very often.
