The largest naval base in the northern area of England was established not far away from the Scottish borders. As the ruler of the British Empire and one of the strongest Royal Navy's battleships, King George V took charge of this base a couple of years ago while still taking care of the state's affairs.

It was a summer morning, the weather started to get better those days. It was a pretty peaceful atmosphere...at least it could be...if tons of papers weren't already spread everywhere in King George's office.

"Your Majesty, may I?" asked Belfast opening the door

" Of course, Bel," she answered while cutting another piece of omelette

"Those just arrived in the mail." the maid said while placing a good amount of letters on the desk

After the look on KGV's face, it was obvious how "excited" she was about them.

    "From where?" the battleship asked

    " Mostly, Eagle Union."

"I can't even eat my breakfast properly...seriously what do they want again?!" the battleship complained

Apart from the Azur Lane, Royal Navy and Eagle Union had a separate naval agreement which included mutual military support of any kind and also Eagle Union had to provide supplies for the Royal Navy Bases. That's why it became quite common for both countries to send commanders, lieutenants and of course ship girls.

"Would you like me to bring anything else?" the maid asked while taking the plates of the desk

"No, Bel. It's not like I can enjoy the food now." George replied sighing

"Well, I'm not used to Your Majesty saying such things."

"Even I am surprised by what I'm saying and to be honest I don't think I can do this anymore. Being in charge of the base, dealing with political affairs, when it comes to the colonies there is always an issue, the Eagle Union's ambassadors came every day with news requests...I'm going crazy, Belfast." the battleship grumbled visibly overwhelmed by all the things she has to deal with.

"And what solution Your Majesty finds suitable for this situation?"

"I thought about something and I strongly believe is the best solution." the battleship spoke confidently

"I'm glad...I can't wait to hear what you decided."

"Bel, desperate situations like this require desperate solutions...that's why I decided to let the charge to Anson."

The maid, shocked by KGV's words, dropped the plates on the desk making an annoying sound.

    "Please excuse me..."

"You truly didn't expect that." the battleship smirked

"No, Your Majesty. Not at all."

"It may be unexpected, but I strongly believe it's the right thing to do."

"Indeed, Your Majesty. Her Highness was in charge of this base before so  I don't see anyone else that will suit this position better. But I do have some worries ...Will Her Highness agree to take the charge again? This... particular base..." the maid spoke with a quite concerned expression

" I do worry about that but I would never ask her if it wasn't truly necessary. We have to be more efficient than ever to win this war. And with the power of the  Crimson Axis increasing by the time we speak, I don't see any better solution." KGV said with determination in her voice

"Well, in that case, I hope Her Highness agrees."

"Me too, Belfast. Otherwise, I might ask you to find me a good psychiatrist." the royal joked

Suddenly the door opens and Howe enters the office with her usual positive attitude.

  "Good morning!" she said cheerfully

"Morning was when I woke up. And how many times I had told you to not enter my office like is a public place?" King George said  a little annoyed

"I can see that you are again pretty tense," Howe said disappointed

"I think a have a good reason to be," KGV mumbled while showing her little sister the big amount of papers from her desk

"Well then...I will help you." the younger royal replied very determined

" No, thank you, my dear. The room is in this state because you helped me yesterday and messed up all the files."

'You know I had good intentions." Howe pouted

"I know, sweetie, but from now on, help me with other things." King George said in a more gentle tone, feeling guilty for being harsh with her little sister

" All right. I will bake you some sweets."

" That will be very appreciated. Right now, if you'll excuse me, I must make a call."

Howe got out and before leaving, Belfast made sure to wish "Good luck" to KGV.

" If only luck was enough" the battleship thought

On a high hill in the north of Edinburgh, not far away from the port of Leith, a huge and imposing medieval castle dominate the view. A place surrounded by a rather heavy silence... a place whose overwhelming presence and old architecture made it look like a picture from a history book.

On the inside, the large rooms still kept the traditional elements which were combined with more sophisticated furniture.

Glasgow, one of the few maids who served there, was cleaning the main salon when she heard the telephone ringing.

On the balcony, Anson, dressed in a long burgundy velvet robe, was enjoying the view, drinking from a cup of tea.

   - Your Highness...

   - What is it, Glasgow? she replied, still lost in her thoughts

   -  King George V is on the phone. Her Majesty wants to talk to you immediately.

   - Let's see what's so urgent, the battleship said in a sarcastic manner
