It was already past midnight but Howe haven't returned yet. Anson, dressed in her nightgown was staying on her balcony waiting for her younger sister. Even though Eagle was watching the girl, she couldn't help but worry.

Suddenly, her gaze stops on the old main building where her office used to be. Now according to King George V, that building is used to store documents and medical supplies.

A sudden thought came to her mind, she hurried back into her room and took the keys from one of the furniture drawers and without thinking too much she got out of the room.

It took her just a few minutes to get to the old building that looked exactly like before. She unlocked the front door and the moment she got inside she felt a knot forming in her stomach. Two years passed since she last entered here. On the hallways, the light was on revealing a lot of packages scattered all over the place. The battleship looked around her and was surprised to see that everything, even the curtains were the ones from before.

Then she went upstairs where the hallway was also full of packages. There, at the end of the long corridor, behind a huge wooden door, her former office used to be.

She got closer and closer to the door and placed her hand on the doorknob, then she unlocked it b but she couldn't find the courage to open it. It was like her whole body and mind stopped.

Anson was too afraid of her memories,  flashbacks from two years ago were already running through her mind...how peaceful everything was in that night until bullets pierced the windows. She was pushed to the floor and in just a few seconds her gloves, clothes even the carpet were soaked in blood...and if only it was her own blood. Those bullets were meant for her...

She took her trembling hand off the doorknob.
Opening that door will only make the terrifying images in her mind even more vivid.

Just a few minutes passed since she entered there but it felt too overwhelming. Anson got out of the building as fast as she could and returned to the new main building.

While going back to her bedroom, she run into Howe, who was feeling a little ashamed for being so late, in the hallway.
Seeing her so pale, the younger girl got scared.

" Sister...are you alright?" Howe asked concerned

"I am," she answered in a rather harsh tone making Howe believe that she is angry at her for being late.

   "Why aren't you sleeping?"

"I waited for you to come back." the battleship replied in the same tone

    "I..."

"Go to bed, Howe," she told her and entered her bedroom not giving the chance to Howe to say anything more.

The young girl entered the room feeling really sad. Her sister let her go on that date despite George's words and she couldn't keep her promise to return early. Now Anson is rightfully mad at her and knowing how difficult she is, it won't be easy at all to make up with her.

In the meantime, Anson entered her room, tears starting to fall on her face. She sat down on the floor feeling hopeless and disappointed in herself for not having the strength to enter that room, for not having the strength to face the past.

The following day

Early in the morning, a good amount of woods were spread on the kitchen floor, while Cheshire full of dirt from head to toe was struggling to light the fire into the stove.

"For Goddess's sake, you're building the fire, not inventing it..." Belfast spoke in awe, seeing in what state the kitchen was, at the first hour in the morning
