welcome to the 70s!

Morgan Feign was having a tough time letting go of her children. She did this every year when the kids had to go back to school. She would stall with meaningless tasks to keep them home longer, which would make them late.

Especially since what happen to her daughter that summer, how could anyone expect her to let go so easily. It was something the Feign's could never forget to this day. The horror a floating rock in the sky could cause. All the magic in the world yet no one could find a way to relieve others from their pain.

Right now instead of standing outside waiting for the Knight Bus, Morgan was stress baking. She busied herself by concocting multiple batches of muffins to give to her kids for the ride to Hogwarts. She had promised them, "Just give me five more minutes", but that would be a lie. It was more like thirty minutes.

"Mum we have to leave," River complained holding two baskets of chocolate and pumpkin muffins. The weight of them both were almost unbearable. "I can't carry anymore!"

"Neither can I!" Cordelia added balancing containers of muffins in her arms. Ambrose had gotten away without holding any because he was helping his father with his siblings trunks. "My arms have gone numb! I can't feel a thing."

"Love, the kids really need to go" Marvell told his wife as kindly as possible. "The muffins are wonderful, but it's already ten. They need to be on the train by eleven."

"Well that means I have enough time to make some scones!" Morgan starts opening up another cabinet in denial of the fact today was September 1st. "Pandora likes those, right Ambrose? Or was it Sybil-"

"It's Pandora," he tells her letting go of his and River's trunk. "Mum I know you don't want us to leave, but you've gotta let us go, okay? Besides, you've got time to make all those dresses for Pippy since we won't be around."

Pippy was the family's house elf. She's actually more apart of the family than anything. Pippy was bought by Marvell's parents when he was a kid, but when they died he had the chance to set her free. However, Pippy wanted to stay because she loved the Feigns. Now in her free time, Morgan as the new mistress of the house makes Pippy's stay at the Feign chateau more comfortable.

"Right," she said letting go of the cabinet door handle. "That reminds me, I have to go to Madam Milken's to see if she has any extra fabric I could use."

"Perfect so can we go now?" River begged.

"Yes just let me clean this up." Morgan snapped her fingers instantly causing all the bowls and ingredients to fly back to where they belong. "Pippy?" The woman called out.

A small house elf with big brown eyes appeared upon the family. She was wearing a green long sleeve shirt with a big clunky boots. Pippy loved picking out her outfits from the clothes the family supplied her. It was joked that the elf had a better fashion sense than cordelia. "Yes mistress?" she asked in a squeaky voice.

"Pippy what did we talk about?" she reminded the creature. "We're equals remember? Call me Morgan."

"Sorry Mistress Morgan," she apologized. "What can Pippy do for you?"

"We're going to be gone for awhile," the woman informed the house elf. "Would you like anything while we are out?"

"No Mistress Morgan, but Pippy would like to say goodbye to young misses and mister." The children all go to the house elf giving her a tight hug.

"We're going to miss you Pippy," Cordelia promised gripping onto the creatures frail body tight.

"Pippy will miss you children too," she answered being released from the hug. "Now Pippy will cry in the corner missing you already." The house elf than snapped her fingers disappearing from the main entrance.

"Well onwards Feigns!" Marvell cried out to his family. "Dumbledore will be disappointed if his new quidditch announcer and qudditch keeper don't show up!"

This was a proud year for the Feign family. it was River's last year at Hogwarts, Cordelia was now old enough to try out for the Slytherin quidditch team, and the headmaster specifically requested that Ambrose would be the school's new quidditch announcer.

Let's say that Marvell has been boasting about this to his friends at the ministry that his family will one day be famous.

"Dad don't jinx it," Cordelia begged of her father. "There are plenty of good quidditch players in Slytherin, but no one as good as me." Ambrose held up his hand for a high five than pulled it back when he remembered she had no hands available.

"James will murder me if my little sister is on the Slytherin quidditch team," River says picking up her speed down the yards of grass in front of their house.

"As if my future son in law would do that to me," Marvell jokes making everyone snicker except for River. She just flicked her wand out untying his shoes with magic. "Don't deny it honey, you'll just make it worst for yourself!"

The five Feign's continued to run down the pathway to the Knight Bus stop with all their luggage. It was a struggle to do such with all they had, but they couldn't be late this year. They wouldn't be late.
