Novel Part 2 Summary - To Iron Cavalry Camp and Fuhulin

We learn from Hai Dongqing's casual chat with Zhan Zhao that Zhan Zhao is just twenty-three years old. (At the time of drama filming actor Wu Xi Ze is also 23yo.) They talked about the embroidery shop whose owner is actually a poison master. Hai Dongqing or Costin showed his poisoned left leg to Zhan Zhao. The poison has penetrated the bones and there is no antidote.
Zhan Zhao trains Mo Yan. After several days he as well as Zhao Yu notices Mo Yan lacking in sleep. The reason is because after all her duties and trainings she sews the robe for Zhan Zhao.
Zhao Yu is invited to go to Fuhulin with Yelu Hongji while Zhan Zhao is invited to go to the Iron Cavalry Camp to give pointers. Zhao Yu is hesitant to let Zhan Zhao go since he would be gone for a month or more. The princess told Mo Yan of this plan. Mo Yan thinks Zhan Zhao will not go. But they were surprised to find out he agrees. He just wants to avoid further conflicts especially with Yelu Bodhisattva. Then Mo Yan has this ridiculous idea which seemed a good one to Zhan Zhao and the princess. Mo Yan will accompany the princess to Fuhulin while Zhan Zhao goes to the Iron Cavalry Camp.

Mo Yan was also a little puzzled. Zhan Zhao always prioritized the safety of the princess, which was more important, he had no reason to leave the princess and go to the iron cavalry camp.

Mo Yan also couldn't help feeling that Zhan Zhao is hiding something from him. Once again she tried to ask him but he only told her when the time is right/necessary and when he thinks he might need her help.

I really don't understand this but it seems the wedding of Zhao Yu with Yelu Hongji is going to be delayed for three years.

Ever since Zhan Zhao proposed marriage to Mo Yan, this subject has come up from time to time. But this one is something to be remembered:

Mo Yan smiled, and suddenly remembered something, his smile faded, and he held Zhan Zhao a little nervously, and said seriously: "Brother, what about our marriage? You won't have to wait three years?"

Zhan Zhao was startled...

Mo Yan looked at him, and suddenly said in disappointment: "Do you really have to wait three years before you are willing to marry me?"

Zhan Zhao couldn't bear to see her disappointed, and smiled: "Don't wait so long, when I come back from the iron cavalry camp, we will get married, okay?"

"Really?" Mo Yanxi said.

(Let me just share how kilig I was when I read this part. It may have to do with me picturing Xize and Huiwen. And I'm still on a high from the sweetness overload of Xize's Chu Xiu Ming in General's Lady web drama.)

Mo Yan finally finished sewing the robe for Zhan Zhao. She quietly snuck into his room. She thought he forgot to bolt the door and just fell asleep. She placed the newly made robe by his pillow and left.
Unbeknownst to her, Zhan Zhao was in another late night meeting with Hai Dongqing in his room. When they heard footsteps, he only pretended to be asleep. As the room was dark Mo Yan didn't notice the presence of Hai Dongqing.
Hai Dongqing teases Zhan Zhao about it. When marriage was mentioned, Zhan Zhao made a request to his elder brother - just in case anything happens to him.

Mo Yan and Zhan Zhao went their separate ways.
Zhan Zhao is actually following Madam Fang and her companion. Suffice to say, a fight ensues between them three involving poisoned needles. Madam Fang is hit directly and dies. Zhan Zhao is also hit in the chest and passes out.

Meanwhile, Mo Yan and her group went on hunting and encounter an accident.
As they searched for the princess Mo Yan meets Yelu Bodhisattva.

"It's a long story, but to put it simply, the tiger stunned the horse, and the horse ran away with the princess, so the princess was lost."

They not only found the princess but an injured Zhan Zhao.

"Someone is nearby." He whispered towards her. "It's about twenty steps to your left."

After taking about seventeen or eighteen steps, I saw a person lying face down in the grass, dressed in a Qidan robe, and the back of his exposed hand was purple and black, which was very frightening.

Since Yelu Bodhisattva can still hear breathing, at least this person is still alive. Mo Yan stepped forward, trying to turn the man over. Suddenly, the familiar corner of the Qidan robe that the man was wearing suddenly slammed into her eyes, and his hands and feet were instantly cold...

"Big Brother!"
