Morgan
After taking a long, comfortable shower to relieve at least some of my stress, I got right into bed flipping through the channels on TV. Once I saw my favorite show Martin, I quickly selected it and laid back. It was even more relaxing when it began to rain.
About twenty minutes later, I heard a loud knock on the door. I waited for a few seconds to see if anyone was going to answer it, but then I realized I was the only one here. I rolled my eyes throwing on a shirt and some shorts.
I groan before slipping out of bed, then ran downstairs to open the door. Once I had swung the door open, I saw that same exact face I had saw at the mall the earlier.
I was in shock. Just a little. I never thought I'd see him again, being that footlocker is an hour and twenty minutes away.
He stopped himself all of a sudden, looking up at me. "May I use your phone? Mine died and I have no charger."
"Yeah, sure." I nod my head to motion him to come in. I then guided him to the house phone that was in the kitchen.
I let him have his conversation in peace but I didn't go too far. For all I know, he could be stealing something at this very moment. I don't know him enough to be trusting him like that.
I sat in the living room and tried to listen as close as I could. He soon stepped out the kitchen after a short thirty seconds. I quickly tried to act like I was on my phone until I seen him with an agitated look on his face.
"Everything okay?" I asked, rising up from the couch.
"Locked out for a few hours. But I'll be straight." He gave a small smile before walking to the door. "Thanks though, I appreciate it."
I couldn't just let him sit outside especially with the rain pouring down like this.
"Wait," I said quickly stopping him. "You could stay here if you'd like."
There was a short awkward stare between us.
"I mean like, just until someone gets there to unlock the door for you..." I started getting nervous. My palms were literally sweating.
He notice my nervousness and chuckled. "You sure? It wouldn't be any trouble?"
I quickly shake my head, more quickly than I intended to. I'm making a fool of myself right now...
"Okay cool." His eyes wondered all around before he walked over towards me. "Nice place."
"Thanks. We just moved in yesterday." I say looking right along with him.
"That explains why I haven't seen you around here before, pretty girl." He looked back at me and licked his lips.
I remembered that he called me that when he was talking to me in footlocker earlier.
"So you do remember me?"
"Of course, Morgan."
I blush, hard. "I'm new around here."
"Really? You know I only live right down the stre—"
My phone goes off loudly, cutting him off. I grab it and saw that it was a text from my mom.
Be there soon.
Received 4:57 pm.Damn it.
