It was 7 p.m and I was in my kitchen cooking some pasta that I was making for dinner while singing the songs of my cooking playlist. I was in the best part of the song, having the time of my life when, of course, someone had to interrupt me by knocking on the door.

- Coming!- I sighed and put the knife down as I made my way to the door.

When I opened the door I saw Violet's smiley face.

- It smells really good in here.- She said as she walked into my apartment.

- Thanks I'm cooking dinner. Why are you here?- I closed the door and followed her.

- You are not excited to see me?- She pouted as she went towards the stove to try and eat something of what I was cooking.

- Of course, but I thought that you would be eating dinner with Tom.- I took the spoon that she just grabbed to try the pasta. - Stop, it's not done yet.

- No, he had to go to Seattle for an emergency meeting, he will be back in the morning so we can decide the last things for the wedding. So I came here because I knew you would be cooking something delicious.- She smiled at me.

- How do you know it's delicious? You haven't tried it yet, as far as I know, it could be disgusting or even worst poisoned.-

- I'm willing to take that risk, everything that you cook is delicious.- She kissed my cheek.- So, there is enough food for me, or are you expecting anyone?- She said grinning.

- No, I'm not expecting anyone else, so you can stay.- I rolled my eyes.

- Thank you babe-. She sat on one of the chairs.

I turned the stove off and I finished serving the pasta on our plates. I gave Violet her plate and we started eating.

- Told you, it's amazing.- She said while making other weird sounds that meant that she liked that a lot.

I smiled at her and continued eating until she spoke.

- So speaking of liking things, did you like Josh?-

When I heard his name I started coughing, and I swear I almost died. Once I swallowed my food I answered.

- Yeah, it was a great date, we talked and we had fun. He is a nice guy. - I didn't want to go into heavy detail just in case I messed up.

- Does that mean there is going to be a second date and that Tom and I were right?- She squealed excitedly.

- Actually, there isn't going to be a second date. It was a great night but we both agreed that there wasn't any type of chemistry between us and that we shouldn't go on a second date because it isn't going to work.- God if I wasn't already going to hell, I was going now for sure.

- But Mer it was only a date, maybe if you two gave each other another chance there would be chemistry.-

- I'm sorry but we agreed on one date, I went and had a great time but not enough connection for a second one. And I also don't want to date anyone right now, I'm more than okay on my own. I love to do what I want, when I want and however, I want it. I don't have to think about anyone else's opinions, and I'm going, to be honest, I love it. Okay?-

- Jeez, okay I get it you aren't going on a second date with him and also you don't want or need a man.- She said laughing.

I offered her a bright smile. I was happy and relieved that she didn't ask more questions, but I had a last one.

- Why didn't you tell me he was famous? I mean he is that guy from Tik Tok, and I'm pretty sure he has a lot of million followers.- I looked at her.

- We didn't want you to know who was before the date. And I know that there are a lot of bad things about him on the internet but he is great.-

I nodded and continued eating. We talked during the rest of the dinner, but his name didn't come up again. After that Violet cleaned the dishes, I told her that we could do it together but she insisted on doing it on her own because I had made her dinner. While she finished the dishes I picked out a movie that we could watch together, since she was sleeping over tonight with me.

The next morning Violet went home early to see Tom, and I stayed home and did homework all day so I could leave everything done today to go to Nick's party, and also because tomorrow I'm going to be hungover as fuck and regretting all of my life choices, and the last thing I would like to do is homework.

After a long day of law work, it was time to get ready. I had already picked an outfit and showered, so the only thing left was doing my makeup and hair.

I straightened my hair and did my makeup, some eyeliner, and nude lipstick. I was wearing a white top and blue shorts. I was done just in time, so I grabbed my purse and headed downstairs because Claudia and Claire, were supposed to pick me up with their car at 9 because I knew damm well I would be in no condition to drive home when we leave the party, and Claire's boyfriend (that doesn't drink) would drive us home.

When I left my building I immediately saw Andrew's car with all of them inside waiting for me. I opened the backseat door and got in, immediately getting greeted by all of them.

- What's up bitches!- I said as I got into the car.

Everyone cheered excited about the party.

- You look really hot!- Claire said.

- Yeah.- Claudia agreed. - Wait until I drink something and we'll make out.- She winked at me. Claudia and I went both ways, and even though we were friends, sometimes we made out at parties when we were drunk. But are you really friends if y'all don't makeout?

All of us laughed and Andrew turned on the music to get hyped and started driving to the party.
