CORBYN WALKED THROUGH
the living room freely, Daniel's eyes falling on him every now and then, curious to what the boy was doing. His brunet hair gently bounced with every movement of his legs, eyes darting to the television as it switched to another cartoon series.
"Dani, i'm bored." Corbyn commented as he flopped his body back onto the couch. "I'll be with you in a few minutes, pup, you know i'm working right now." The older replied sternly, head turning back to his laptop as he chatted with his coworker. "But Dani," Corbyn whined with a pout, leaning over the couch to see the blond's eyes turn to him. "I told you i would be with you in a few minutes, Corbyn. If you feel that unamused, i will allow you to obtain a book from the shelf in the hallway, but you will be back in two minutes and silent as you read. If you're not, there will be consequences."
The younger stood to his feet immediately, running to the hallway with a smile. "Be careful, pup!" Daniel yelled after him with a small chuckle, letting his fingers fall on the keyboard as he attached the pictures.
The cabinet was opened with a pull, a whole row of books coming into view. The first two hadn't quite intrigued him, the cover fairly boring, but the third caught his eye. It was plain white, a bloodstain in the lower right corner and the title 'American Psycho' written in the lower left corner. He let his fingers drum on the cover for a second, debating to choose the paperback book to read. He set it down on the floor carefully, looking through the rest of the row, before deciding nothing else intrigued him.
Corbyn lifted the book back into his arms, closing the cabinet as his head turned to the front door.
"Would it be possible?"
He reached out for the doorknob, twisting it open while the anxiety raced through his veins. "No alarm." He talked softly, eyes lighting up. The shorter of the duo looked back at Daniel, the adult was concentrated on his work and hadn't noticed a thing.
The brunet closed the door softly, turning his body immediately when he heard the soft stomps of Daniel's feet. "I told you to be back in two minutes, it's been four." Corbyn didn't reply, his grip tight on the pages of the book as he stared at the pictures.
"Who are they, Dani?" The taller's arms wrapped around him, Corbyn's back against his front as he pecked his hair. "They were here before you, pup." Was all he said, turning Corbyn's head to kiss his lips gently. "Where are they now? Did you let them go?"
"I don't want to talk about them with you, puppy. I don't want you hurting." The shorter pouted. "I want to know. I want you to tell me the truth." Daniel sighed, pointing to the smiling female on the left of the lowest row, it seemed it was the only picture on that row and the most recently taken. "That's Cora, she was the one you got me distracted from. I sold her to a friend of mine when i got my eye on you. Don't worry, though, i know he treats her as good as i did. She listened, she was respectful and she didn't try to kill me like a certain someone." The blond smiled and kissed Corbyn's cheek, fingers gently rubbing the crossed arms.
"That's Storm, he got his name because he was born when a major storm hit his town," Corbyn let his eyes run along the male's features, he was beautiful, the freckles and dark eyes standing out against his pale skin and blonde hair, but the young boy seemed distressed, crying. "I liked him a lot. He's absolutely gorgeous, but he was a literal pain in the ass. I had to beat the shit out of him multiple times, so i decided it was best for us to part ways."
Daniel sighed when he pulled Corbyn to the right side of the first row, letting his eyes fall on his prettiest breed. "That's Matteo," He paused, watching Corbyn's head tilt at the laughing teen. "He was the first who obeyed me, who wasn't trying to escape me. He was the first to love me, Corbyn. I knew he had problems, but i wanted him, i needed him. I was selfish in thinking everything was fine, but every night he was crying, yelling and begging me to make it stop. He couldn't himself, so he asked me to end his life."
Corbyn turned in his arms, watching Daniel wipe the sudden tears. "You did it for him? You killed him?" The soft question was enough for the taller to turn away from him, walking back towards his previous spot at the dinner table.
The young teenager turned back to the picture, a frown falling onto his face. Matteo looked on at him, teeth showing for the camera. "I hope you're doing better." He whispered softly, walking away with the horrid fear in his chest.
