This is the story of how we became who we are. This is Violet Ronraech speaking. You know, thirteen, green vines wrapped around me, purple wings, and shoes with flowers and vines wrapped around it? That's me. And my sister, Aqua, who's ten, with an aquatic pattern on her cyan dress and hair as blue as the ocean? Last but not least, Flame, who's eight years old, which isn't a lot considering that we live forever, who has orange wings on fire and literally has smoking hair? Yup, that's them, all right. Oh, I forgot to tell you: we're fairies. It all started when life on Marphine wasn't so terrible. We had a life, happiness, and no knowledge whatsoever of our family's secrets. You know how I said that fairies live forever? Yeah. That's why the humans are trying to kill us, because we're born every day, and we live forever, so eventually we might take over the universe, but the only reason I say might is because the only things keeping us from dominating everything is the fact that humans have always gained more power and claimed more land, therefore having supporters, much more than we do. So naturally we're not a threat and all but then they hunt us, because we're magic and we're different and they don't like that. Plus the fact that we live for eternity. And I forgot to mention that we're immortal except for bullets and each other. Morphine is the world that we live in, just to let you know, for the future. So back when I was only three, my father, Darius Ronraech, would tell me stories. I listened so intently. I loved his stories. He told me stories of pirate fairies and sparrowmen, how he met Mother, Karina Ronraech, and so many more. They felt so real to me. But I knew, always, that they weren't.
