Chapter 18

I walk back to my room and sit down. How am I going to get my voice back? I see Willie start running towards me all of a sudden.

"Emma! Are you okay? I just saw Caleb stop by-" He stops as soon as he sees my frown. "What did he do to you?" I touch my neck and shake my head. "D-Did he hurt you?" I shake my head and point to my mouth. "H-He took your voice?" I nod my head as he sighs. "Emma, I'm so so sorry- Wait.... I think I know how to bring it back!" He signals me to follow him. We ran out of the room and downstairs.

Oh no. I never told Willie. This is where I took power before. Oh gosh, I hope he doesn't mention anything. Or even notice anything. He signals for me to stay quiet and I nod my head. We slowly walk into the room and to the back. One of the bookshelves had a few chests filled with magic.

"Here it is." Willie says as he grabs a chest. "Okay, I'm going to have you hold out your hand. And when this opens, the power will go to you." I nod my head as he prepares to open it. The locks click and I close my eyes. He opens the chest and a huge beam of light hits my arm. Tears start to form as I continue feeling pain. I gasp as the final stream of light disappears. "D-Did it work?"

"I-I think it did." I smile and give Willie a huge hug.

"Thank you."

"Of course. I'd do anything for a friend like you."

"But after everything I've done, why would you still care?" I ask.

"Because the Emma I know is right in front of me." I chuckle and give him another hug.

"You know, I think it's time we show Caleb who the real owner is."

"I'm with you, then. It's time this place starts something new." I nod my head as we head out. I go to my room and change into a different outfit. I touch up my makeup and hair as quickly as I can. I look at myself in the mirror and sigh.

Alright.

I'm ready to go.

I teleport to the side of the stage and look at Caleb.

"Ladies and gentleman, I'm back! Hello, hello, hello! Unfortunately, one of our band members is unable to make it. Even ghosts struggle with things! Because of that-" Before he could finish his sentence the piano player starts playing the beginning of my song.

I walk onto the stage in a white dress. And go directly to Caleb.

Here comes a wave
Meant to wash me away
A tide that is taking me under

As those lyrics are sung, the crowd starts to gasp. Caleb gives me the most surprised look ever.

I walk towards the front and look at the crowd.

I turn around and look straight at Caleb.

I catch my breath after hitting the last note. The crowd goes wild as I continue staring at Caleb. After a few seconds, I turn around and walk off stage.

"That was amazing!" Willie says.

"Thanks!" Willie then looks up and frowns slightly. I sigh after realizing who he's looking at. I turn around with a little smirk on my face.

"Well done." Caleb says.

"Thank you. I guess not everything works out like you expect." I say.

"You have one more week." He sighs.

"Deal." He teleports away as I turn back around to Willie.

"Well, look at you, Ms. Owner of the Club!" Willie says.

"Oh, please! None of this would happen if it weren't for you!" I say.

"Thanks, but you're the one who created a better club!"

"Thanks. Anyways, I hate to break things up, but I have a task to complete." He nods his head as I teleport away.

I go into a room that no one goes to anymore.

No one, not even Willie can know who's in here.

This was the only way I could try bringing the boys back.

Anyways, time to talk to my friend's little daughter.
