Mami and Papi always told me to never ever display my powers in public. Due to if the people in the village who could misunderstand the gifts I received from the forest.

You see, way back when the small town was created the founder, Señora Alma, was a nice and kind lady with three children. In which all of the had beautiful gifts bestowed to them by the magic of the candle. Now mi Mami y Papi were the same age as her children. They found each other in that small town, fell in love and- you know what their story can wait for a later time.

Let's skip ahead and begin our story shall we?

Shortly after my parents were married they moved to the very very VERY outskirts of the town. Wanting me to appreciate the beautiful scenery of the forest, it's animal and it's plants as I grew older. Mami also always just wanted a garden to produce her own fruits and vegetables. As for Papi he enjoyed taking care of the farm animals; cows, goats, pigs, you name them he probably has them.

As for me, well I was a sick child. Very sick. So sick that my parents worried for my health and possibility of losing me. Yet, it seems that la Casitas magic spreads farther than the Madrigal family had ever thought.

"Mami! Tell me that story again!" The memory of little 4 year old me shouted happily at my mother, running to the side of her colorful sofa chair. She smiled down at me and chuckled. "Again? Aren't you tired of that story? I fear that if I tell you it once more your ego will grow mija" she said teasingly, picking me up and places me on her lap. "Pleaseeeee?" I begged as I look at her with hope.

"Very well, once there was a very sick little girl-" she started and shortly after I interrupt "that's me!" I yelled. Madre chuckled at me once more and nodded at my statement. "Yes, it is my little animal, as I was saying. She was so sick that her mother and father worried so much, they prayed every day and every night for a small miracle to happen. For her to get better. One night they were woken up by the sounds of the forest wind howling and crying of a little girl. As the parents woke up, they quickly ran to her aid, noticing a small glowing coming from the little girls room. As they walked in they saw their baby with strange glowing markings on her arm. They panicked for a second till they heard the wind howl once more, as I picked you up I walked with your father to the window. Watching as the trees moved with the wind, almost as if the forest was waving at us. That's when we noticed, our daughter was a special little girl and the tattoo was going to the me day mark her spacial gift" she finished her story as I yawned and smiled at her.

"Mami I like the forest, it's nice and always treats me nicely." I mumble as my eyes droop. "I know you do mija, now sleep" she says quietly. "Mami next year when I turn 5 and get my gift, I'll help you and Papi in the house, and I can also help the friends in town too" I say looking up at my mother, trying my hardest to keep my eyes open. My mother smiles down at me, moving a piece of my hair from my face to behind my ear. "I know you will mi amor, and I'll be so happy to see your gift grow and blossom with you" she said lovingly as I finally allow sleep to win over the fight.

Drifting off to my dream of running and playing with the forest and it's animals.
