Lifty and Shifty are NOT A COUPLE I repeat
THE TWO BROTHERS ARE NOT A COUPLE
They are coparenting (y/n) one is the uncle and other father but have the same role. You've been raised by the two Kleptomaniac raccoon twins
Ever since when you had started to crawl you had been a front for their heists.
Nobody would expect a baby to steal anything.you didn't know it was wrong, you were only doing what your daddies have been telling you.
"Make sure they don't see you, its a game. If that man catches you, you'll lose!" Shifty told you, he was hiding in a bush pointing to an unsuspecting victim of the next heist.
it was Lumpy. Working as a police officer, he was passed out in his police cruiser probably on a sugar overdose with the amount of empty donut boxes on his passenger side.
"Grab as much of the treasure as you can for the treasure hunt." Shifty added, pointing to the jewelry store, giving you an empty satchel bag and pushing you roughly from your hiding spot.you're only four now.
walking was now getting easier to do, and your comprehension skills getting sharper.
"daddy loves you!" Lifty called from behind Shifty, Lifty being a more loving parent than Shifty ever was to you, he always made sure to give you a word of encouragement before doing your little "game"
Even if he was just as bad at parenting than his brother was.You smiled at the two Raccoons kneeling in the bush, and started your way to the store.
crawling under the cop car to avoid the line of sight of Lumpy just in case if he were to wake up abruptly.Opening to the door, it seemed like no one was around, glancing behind the counter it seemed that the coast was clear with no Worker to come and see if anyone had come in.
you quickly, ran to the cases and pulled open the sliding glass doors and grabbed as much of gold and silver your little hands could grasp.
throwing them into your bag until it was too heavy for you to hold.quietly you made your exit and when it seemed you made it to the clear, you hear a voice call out,
"Stop! Thief!"
You looked around and saw had Lumpy had woken up from his sugar coma and had caught you in your escape.you shrieked and tried to make a run for it.
running towards the hiding spot you had left your dads.
but upon returning, the bush was bare. They had abandoned you, and for the first time, it seemed like you were going to get in so much trouble. With no one to bail you out.
Of course being four, You didn't know what getting in that kind of trouble meant.Lumpy grabbed you by the scruff, and instantly recognized you.
"So you're the twins' kid huh?"You gulped down the lump in your throat, and nodded.
"Well the apple doesn't fall far from the tree now does it? Couldn't be the one to break the nasty habit?" Lumpy scolded at you, but really it was like he was talking to a wall, really you didn't want anything to do with this whole ordeal anymore.Soon enough, you were brought back to the apartments.
It was a run down part of town, and Lumpy knew exactly which building, and which floor you living on.
Good thing too, because you didn't have a single clue. You whimpered quietly, as Lumpy scowled down at you and to the door.
Apartment 77.
He rang the bell and roughly pounded on the metal door three times.Foot steps could be heard on the other side, they sounded frantic. Hurried argumentative whispering between your dad and uncle.
"Officer Lumpy, Open up! I have your kid!"
Lumpy banged against the door a second time. This time the door opened a sliver to where you could only see Shifty, your uncle.
"What's up, Officer. You have a warrant?"
Shifty's voice was in a low growl, only half on his face showing from behind the door still on the chain lock."Just found a little kid of yours running around stealing and breaking into businesses. I'm only letting her off with a warning because I've recovered all she's stolen. One more incident, and you're all going to jail!" Lumpy scolded.
Shifty at this point had opened the door all the way to let you in, and instantly you ran inside to hug your father, even if you were abandoned by him."We understand, it won't happen again." Lifty said, comforting (y/n).
But all was far from the truth.
As soon as Lumpy had left, The twins already seemed to have another plan cooking for the next heist. This time fool proof.Even if (y/n) wanted to do this or not, she didn't have a choice.
She didn't understand this was all for their survival.I might rewrite this one but I'm half asleep and sick rn and I wanted to get something out asap, so here y'all go :)
