(DISCONTINUED) The only love I ever knew

~Chapter 4~

About 2 and a half Years passed.It was late Summer and Espresso felt strangely already by not getting teased by Madeleine for so long, and yet still his Sister did not spend a lot of time with him. Instead she was visiting Almond the whole time, since she was interested how will it be like for him to become an Detective. The Brown-haired Cookie was sitting on his chair infront of the Desk and he couldn't stop thinking of one thing. He stood up and went to his Sister's room to figure out why is she spending more time with Almond, so he could finally know why is Latte so interested. Without knocking he went in with his sister looking at him a bit bothered
"What do you need, Espresso.." She spoke with a serious tone
"I want to know why are you so interested in visitting Almond, you almost never spend any time with me now and I don't want you to completely forget about me, you're my sister after all and you know that I can't keep doing the Experiments without your help, i'm messing them up"
Latte sighed
"Espresso.. How much times do i tell you that you're not 12 anymore, You're nearly an adult and you don't really need help, Especially from your sister who's only few months older. Besides, I already have my own plans and Almond isn't the only thing that's making me busy. I must study for almost whole day, I even study when i'm with Almond a bit too."
"If you're studying then you shall stay home.. It interferes with your studying probably and you cannot focus"
Latte got suddenly tired and spoke out angrily
"Listen, i do not have time to talk about some non-sense and waste my time. It's none of your business anyway and you should maybe give me some privacy"
"Privacy? I thought that didn't exist for you, you always told me your trouble, your business, and your plans.."
"Not anymore, I think that i tell you way too much things i shouldn't be talking about so much and i probably shall change that. And if you ask me something about Almond, that's cause he's not asking me so much questions, not saying stupid things. I can actually talk with him about something normal and not things that are too easy to anwser. I just feel here worthless."
Espresso got suddenly broken hearing that Latte felt here Worthless, and did not know what else he shall say. Instead he just asked Latte again if she was sure
"You feel worthless here.. With me...?"
Latte then just realised the mistake she made, but his sister instead of feeling bad shooked her head and then looked at him again
"Exactly, you're someone that there's no sense to talk with and act too childish. And also you need help from your sister when you're almost an ADULT, I feel more like you're just using me for attention. I'm just tired of hearing the same things over and over again, when will you understand?"
"..."
Espresso turned away from his sister and left her room heartbroken, not knowing what did he do wrong and why his Sister has changed so much. He rushed to his room then layed on his bed as tears began falling down his cheek, then he quietly sobbed

After 30 minutes, Espresso was still crying and sobbing, when suddenly the door to his room opened. He expected it to be Latte, and he thought that there's gonna be more trouble and he's too weak to speak, but the voice behind him sounded completely different
"Espresso..?"
The Brown-Haired Cookie recognized Madeleine's voice, as he still was sobbing. Madeleine could hear the Sobbing and knew something was wrong, so he sat near Espresso
".. It's me, you don't need to worry." He still did not know what else he can say, since it was Madeleine's first time visitting him. Both of the Cookies didn't see eachother for almost 2 months cause of the Summer Break. Espresso then revealed his eye and half of his face full of tears to Madeleine and looked at him. As the Light-Cookie sat near Espresso, the Coffee-Cookie rushed at him and covered his face in his chest crying.
"Hey, shh.. Calm down.. What happened?"
Espresso's respond was nothing else than sobbing and crying, but Madeleine understood that he might be too stressed to speak, and either the Sobbing interfers it. He just letted Espresso use himself as an Pillow, then leaned his head over the Coffee-scented Cookie's.
    Silence took over and Espresso eventually stopped crying, but he was still sobbing a little. The moment recognized him of the event that took place 2 years ago in Winter when he thought that Madeleine was a wall and he leaned against him. The Light-Cookie then after moments of silence spoke
"Can you speak now? I'll be right by you, and I don't care what is it"
Espresso just sobbed a bit
"Next time.. I don't feel comfortable to speak about it"
"As you wish."
Espresso continued looking down at nothing, when suddenly Madeleine gave him a smooch on his head. The Coffee-Cookie didn't flinch and instead blushed a bit as the silence fell again.

After about 1 hour, Espresso was just laying on his bed with Madeleine near sitting on the Chair near his Desk, since he refused to leave him Alone, worrying that his Friend might need someone near him. Madeleine turned around and saw that Espresso was already sleeping. The Light-Cookie seeing him sleep thought of it as adorable, so he walked closer to him and touched his hair gently, stroking it. He looked out of the window, realising it's getting late, but even tho he did not want to leave, so Madeleine thought of sleeping with Espresso - After all he did want someone near and it won't insult him, right?
"Espresso- I hope you don't get upset" Madeleine mumbled to himself
"I'm for once glad of myself that I took something useful"
Madeleine got ouf of his "Backpack" his sleeping suit. He dressed up and then layed next to Espresso. He pulled the Coffee-Cookie to himself so he could feel his soft hair, then Espresso suddenly opened his eyes with Madeleine smilling. The Light-Cookie suddenly got his face closer to Espresso's then kissed him. Espresso had almost no idea what's happening, but instead of thinking, he closed his eyes again and letted Madeleine continue before they go to sleep.
