I hear my moms car pull up in the driveway, so I get off my games.

I ran downstairs to greet my mom and help her with the groceries when she started to talk. "How was your first day of school? "It was fine, nothing much happened." I answered.

"Nice to hear."

"Yup."

I finish helping put the groceries away and start heading to my room when she stops me.

"Wait, breyon, so I got a phone call from the school."

~Oh shit~

"Oh, yeah?"

"So, do you want to explain why you got detention on the first day of school!"

Oh shit, oh shit, I have to say something, but I can't tell her that I got called. That word, ugh, I can't even think it, ahh, make something up.~

"Breyon! Answer me, why did you get detention?"

"Sorry, it was something in the locker room. Someone did something, but no one confessed, so the teacher gave us all detention."

My mom fell silent for a moment and as soon as I started walking away she said "Fine, but I'm not letting you off the hook and you are grounded for getting detention on the first day of school."

"Ok, fine." It's not like I have any friends to be grounded from.~

I go upstairs and get back on my game.

After a little while, my mom calls me down for dinner.

"I'm coming!"

I go down and eat dinner with my mom. When I finish, I head back upstairs and get my stuff ready for school tomorrow.

I don't have homework today, which is good, so I just lay in bed with my cat and play on my phone until I fall asleep.

-------------------

The next morning, my alarm goes off at 6, and I groan. I don't want to get up.~ I lay there for a minute or so, then get up to take a shower.

Once I was dressed and ready, I ate my breakfast and said bye to my mom.

While walking to school, I saw Kaden leaving his house.

We shared glances from opposite sidewalks. My heart race went up. I didn't understand this feeling of anger?

I sped walked to school so I could avoid getting there at the same time as him.

When I got to homeroom, I was greeted by Caleb.

We exchanged small talk, and then he asked if I was okay from practice yesterday.

"Yeah, I'm good, I have detention, though, but so does Kaden."

"I'm sorry that kids are a jerk."

The day went on as normal, but I was nervous for detention.

------------------------

Last period bell rang, which means schools over, and I have to go to detention.

This is going to be so much fun~ "I roll my eyes.

I get up and start to walk to the detention room to wait because I still have about 30 minutes until it starts.

I walk in and sit down on the floor so I don't bring attention to myself.

"Don't worry, no one's in here. No one wants to show up to detention early." someone whispers.

"Ok, guess so." someone else says.
