Part 1: Chased into dark

1:24 AM in the middle of no where.

"Great..just my luck.." you say to yourself as you lean back into the seat of your car.

You were late night driving, hoping you would get to your destination before sunrise. You thought it would be best to take a shortcut through the woods, but you didn't have the gas for it, and your car stopped in the middle of the path, surrounded by trees and the endless darkness of the night.

You check your phone one last time, no signal. You sighed, tossing your phone onto the passenger seat, taking off your zip up jacket and placing it over your torso.

Your plan was to just sleep in your car until the sun rises, no way in hell are you going to look for help in the middle of the night while in the middle of nowhere, this isn't some sort of horror game.

You grunt, the seat isn't the most comfortable place to sleep in, but it's what you got and you just had to suck it up just for one night. You shimmy into the seat, getting comfortable as you shut your eyes, eventually falling asleep.

*Screech!*
You jolted in your seat, immediately waking you up. The sound of scratching woke you up, it sounded like it came from right outside the car. Panicked and confused, you slowly open your car window and peek your head out.

Nothing, you saw nothing around the car, nothing but a few trees and the darkness that surrounds you. You look down onto the car door, and that's when you saw a scratch mark along the side of your car.

"The fuck..?" You say under your breath. Just before another thought crossed you, you heard rustling from the nearby treeline, a few crows fly out into the air and disappear into the night. Without a second thought you backed your head into your car, closing the window and making sure your car doors are locked.

Your heart begins to race, it could be nothing but every inch of your body is telling you something is wrong. You sit back down in your seat, taking a deep breath to calm down. You pick up your phone from the passenger seat and check the time.

2:17 AM. It's only been an hour..still no service, duh. Just as you're about to put down your phone, you hear something at the front of your car, a loud thud, like something dropped from the sky.

You stare blankly into the dark ahead of you, holding your breath as you think it could draw attention.

*...silence...*

Seconds go by and it's nothing but silence. Still holding your breath you pull your phone in front of you. One hand on your phone and the other on the car handle, ready to unlock and open the door. You're crazy, you're going to use your phone flashlight to see what's out there, but you need to know, you need to know what's out there, what's standing in front of you.

You grip on the car door handle more, you take a deep breath...

*Click* Your phone flashlight turned on and shown out the front window and onto the trail ahead of you.

Nothing. There's nothing there. With a sigh of relief you ease the tension in your muscles and relax a bit.

That is, until suddenly a loud thud was heard on the top of your car. You jumped in your seat, panicking again, but there was no time for that because something started crawling on top of the car out onto the front of the car. In a blink of an eye, a head popped out from the top of the car, an entity, a thing with a pale white face with black markings all over.

Screaming, your fight or flight kicked in, and you instantly pulled the handle to the car, automatically unlocking the door and opening it. Phone in hand with flashlight still on, you dashed out your car without a second thought. You fell onto the ground, but instantly got back up and starting running straight ahead of you into the dark, unknown woods, but you didn't think about that now, all you had to do was get out of there.
