It makes me smile when celebrities make silly faces
It reminds me that we're people
Just people who live in different places
With different homes
And to be one is really hard
But you know what's harder
To speak to your Grandpa when you don't know his language
And he doesn't either

Is just as hard as understanding it

Grandpa we live in the city
Our crazy neighbor called Animal Control
When we had chickens
You don't have a bull
I don't even have a dog
This isn't Mexico
But sometimes I wish it was
So I could talk to you Grandpa
So I could know your language
So I could learn your story
But this isn't Mexico
And I didn't take Spanish
We make faces
Happy
Sad
Silly
Faces
Because Grandpa I don't know your language.
