Fuego (fire)

~This takes place in Kimitsu academy.~

~I made the school taller because.. why not.~

~Tanjiro pov.~

.

"Hey.. Zenitsu?"

.

"Hm? Yeah Tanjiro?"

.

"Why are you my friend?"

.

"Hm? Oh! Well, because Nezuko-chan is so pretty! But even though I still pre- Tanjiro?" 

.

I was silent. I felt hurt. So thats what I was huh? All I am is a tool for him.. I cant believe it. I blinked at the ground. "Tanjiro? Hey Tanjiro! Are you alright?" He asked, which made me even angrier. "Is that all I am to you?" 

.

I wanted to punch him in the face, right after he gave me a look of confusion. 

.

"All I am to you..is a tool. Just so you can get closer to my sister.." I said. Zenitsu gasped quietly and realised what he had said. I got.. even angrier. Fuming. He grabbed onto me. "Wait wait- Tanjiro please! Wait- Its not like that I promise!!" Zenitsu cried as I glared.

BOOM

.

Zenitsu flinched and people started screaming. We both watched wide eyed as the halls and walls erupted into flames. I grabbed Zenitsu, as much as I hated he was using me, and took him to a nearby classroom to try and escape. 

Yeah I was angry at him, but I cant leave him to die. He looked panicked.

~Zenitsu pov.~

.

I went to window. We were on the third floor of the school. Almost everone evacuated from the top floors. Everyone but me and Tanjiro were on the first floor heading out. They held a mat out, Kanao, Shinobu, Tomioka, and Nezuko. Only one person could they catch. 

.

I knew what had to happen. 

.

I stepped back and turned to Tanjiro, and grabbed him. 

.

His eyes were wide. "Z-zenitsu?! Whats happening??" Tanjiro asked his eyes looking for a possible exit. I pushed him gently to the window.

.

 "Zenitsu..?"

.

 "Its ok Tanjiro. No one will miss me anyway." I said. 

.

Tanjiros eyes widened in understanding and he grabbed onto my shirt. "Wait Zenitsu n-" I threw him out the window. 

.

"ZENITSUUU!!" I hear the burgundy haired boy cry. I looked out the window and saw him land safley. I could feel the heat on my back. I smiled. 

.

"Tanjiro! Take care!" I said as he gaped at me as flames circled me and engulfed me. The pain was terrible. I let out an agonizing cry as I stumbled back a bit.

.

~Tanjiro pov.~

.

My eyes widened. Zenitsu.. oh no. I saw the flames circle him and I can hear him cry in pain. I teared up. "ZENITSU NO!!" I got up and tried to go back into the building, only to be held back. 

.

I was sobbing. "Zenitsu.. Why..?" I whispered. 

.

I shut my eyes tight and I fell onto my knees, screaming my heart out.
