Being 10 was rough. I grew up alone and homeless. The reason is I never wanted to go to a stupid foster home, basically my great grandma had gone to a mental institute and I ran away. I didn't want a fake family at a foster home. I wanted a real family.

As a boy about my age walked passed me with his friends they stared but he stopped and asked "Are you ok?"

I sat there my stuffed tiger, Stripes beside me and didn't want to talk.

"Do you need help?" He questioned.

As I replied in a timid voice I whimpered "No I-I'm fine."

He didn't look convinced and sat beside me. He took his jacket off and wrapped it around me considering it was raining out and I had nothing to keep me warm.

"You can keep the jacket" he sighed "new one but you need it more then me..oh by the way I'm drew..um what's your name?" Drew questioned.

"Lilly," I replied.

"We'll I have to go Lilly, I walk down this road whenever I'm off from school, I'll see you around. "

He didn't know the pain I was going through. I had no food, no spare clothes, no home, nothing! Then all of a sudden this kid barges into my business and says "I'll be back!" He might not even come back anyway. I bet the kids gonna be on his merry little way and not notice me, just like everyone else did. But, he did notice me just a little bit ago.
