One morning at breakfast...

Lola: Today is going to be the best day ever!

Dad: Actually, the paper says it's going to be a scorcher.

Mum: Lola's not talking about the weather, hon. She's everso excited that we're going to get our family Christmas photo taken today.

Lola: And my best friend Lotta is having a Hawaiian beach party in her back garden, too! Two fun things in one day! (squeals)

Charlie: Lola, how can Lotta have a beach party in her back garden when she doesn't even have a beach?

Lola: The same way you can get a photo to look like Christmas in the middle of summer.

Charlie: But how, Lola?

Lola: You decorate!

Charlie: Cool.

Just then...

Dad: Can someone tell me why we're having a Christmas picture taken in the middle of July?

Mum: Because, dear, every year we end up waiting until the last minute and my mother ends up taking our picture, which is never good enough.

Dad: (chuckling) Wow!

Barbara: Noo-ly!

Charlie: It looks completely hilarious!

Barbara: (laughing)

Mum: This one is terrible.

Dad: That's not so bad.

(laughter)

Mum: Oh, what did I tell you? This year I am making sure we'll have a nice family picture to go with our Christmas cards. Lola, hurry up! The photographer will be here soon.

(Lola enters dressed as Father Christmas)

All: (gasping)

Mum: But, sweetheart, where's that pretty polka-dotted outfit I picked out?

Lola: Father Christmas doesn't wear polka dots. Why aren't the rest of you dressed up? Where is your Christmas spirit?

But there was no answer.

Lola: I'll sort it out!

Charlie: (gasps) Cool! Father Christmas hats!

Barbara: Yay!

Dad: Ho-ho-ho!

Lola: Now we're ready for a real Christmas picture!

Mum: Sit down, children. Don't get all creased before the picture's taken. Let's all sit here and wait until the photographer arrives.

Dad: Ah...

Lola: Sorry. Still learning how to work my antlers.

So the Sonnor family waited for the photographer. They waited and waited.

(doorbell chimes)

Lola: (gasps)

Mum: That must be the photographer. (opens the door)

Photographer: Sorry I'm late.

Mum: Please come in.

Photographer: Uh... Uh, uh... Ahem. (grunting)

Charlie: Cool.

Photographer: Oh, yes. This little beauty right there is the Snow-o-Matic 5000. It makes snow. Not sure if I'll use it today but please, I beg you to stay away from the red button. So, where was I? (scatting)
