Riley pov

"HONEY I'M BACK" I heard Isabell from downstairs and I opened Jenny room door. I walked down the steps and stopped at the last one

"They left for the mall" I said blankly

"And left you here?" She asked and set her purse on the couch

"No, I wanted to stay" I said a little bit shy now

"Aww well im honored you wanted to be here with me" she smirked and I blushed

Did she just flirt with me again?

"But I need help with the grocery, do you mind?" She asked and I nodded. Together we walked out the door and bring the loads of groceries in, in silence.

Most of the groceries filled up the counter so we had to put some on the floor and table.

Once we were all done she shut the front door and came into the kitchen where I was standing, having nothing else to do

"Going to help me or you going back upstairs?" She asked sweetly and started taking stuff from the bags

"Um what do I do?" I asked a little nervous

"Just take things out the bag and throw the bags away. Thats all, Ill put stuff up" she said throwing a empty plastic bag away.

I nodded and started doing as told. It was quiet but I guess she didn't like the silence.

"So tell me about yourself..." She looked at me for a second and when I didn't say anything she did, "I forgot to get your name last night"

"Oh! Im sorry" I said a little surprised "My name is Riley"

What are apologizing for? Your such an idiot

She chuckled. "Okay well tell me about yourself, Riley"

The way my name rolled off her tongue made my inside twist and turn. I felt queasy and my hand started to get clammy again like last night so I just started taking the freezer food from the bags, it made my hot hands cold again.

"Well um I'm 18-" I started but got cut off

"Oh really?" She was smirking when I turned to look at her but that smirk quickly turned into a smile when she saw me looking at her

Uh okay?

"Yep. I turned 18 last month. Um I still live with my dad. My mom passed away 2 years ago"

"Oh im sorry to hear about that" she said and gave me a sympathetic smile

"It's fine, really. I've gotten used to the fact she's not here anymore but I can't say the same for my dad" I said then decided to change the conversation before it got sad. "Any questions?"

"Are you still in school?" She asked while putting some chicken fingers in the freezer. I took some fanta sodas out of a bag and threw the bag away.

"Yeah but I'm graduating in 2 months"

"Thinking of collage?"

"No I don't think so. I didn't even want to be in elementary, middle, or high school so why would  want to do more years of school?"

"That's reasonable I guess. Doing any sports?"

"Yeah I play soft ball"

"Oh wow for how long?"

"I've been playing for 8 years then stopped when my mom died then now I'm playing again" I smiled

She hummed. "That's nice"
