The girl ran.
Faster and faster. She wouldn't stop running no matter how badly her legs burnt or how badly her cuts stung.

The bridge was littered with corpses, the blood oozing all over the ground. The girl frantically looked around checking each body to make sure it wasn't her sister. Just the idea of her sister laying lifelessly in the red liquid made the girl's stomach churn.

Tears blurred her vision making the red on the ground mix with the red skies. All she saw was red as she ran.
Screams and pleading cries for help filled her ears but she couldn't stop, not until she found her sister.

She was scared.
The girl's parents were murdered moments prior and she didn't know what the future would bring. Two young girls all alone in the undercity without money and without parents, they weren't going to make it no matter how hard they tried but the girl didn't care at that moment because all she wanted to know was that her sister was safe so she ran faster.

The tears continued to fall uncontrollably down the girl's face making it hard to see. She refused to stop running eventhough her vision was blurred. The silhouettes of people started mixing together as she ran making it harder to notice them. That was when she tripped landing on something. Green. What a familiar shade of green.

Slowly her vision cleared as the girl focused on the object she tripped on. The object started gaining features she knew so well. The green hair the small frame. That was when it hit her.

The girl froze, the world around her started to spin and all she could do was scream.

Her whole family was dead.

The girl found her sister lying lifeless on the ground. The younger girl had so much potential in life she could've made it out of the undercity if only death didn't strike her so yearly.
The girl looked down onto her sister it should've been her.

So when an enforcer approached her she didn't run she just closed her eyes waited for the one thing that she deserved. Death.

But it never came.

"Oi!" A loud, rough English accent brought the girl back into reality. "Come on, we need to get you out of here."

The girl didn't know why she followed the man, maybe because she found his face friendly and there aren't many of those in the undercity or maybe she just didn't care what happened to her anymore. But she was glad she did.
