After the meeting, Axel and Roxas headed to Twilight Town for their usual routine of eating Sea-Salt ice cream on top of the Station Tower. “What do you think about the new girl?” Roxas asked with a mouthful of ice cream.
He growled, “if she’s anything like Xemnas, than I already don’t like her.” He took a large bite out of his ice cream and shuddered. That’s the only thing he hated about ice cream-it was cold. Naturally, someone who could control fire would distance themselves from anything cold, but Sea-Salt ice cream was worth it. The new girl’s ice manipulating also had something to do with his distaste for her and was almost as disgusting as her connection to Xemnas.
“The ice has nothing to do with it?” His friend teased.
“Maybe a bit. Why don’t you like her? I saw your face in there, you looked like you wanted to kill her.”
He shrugged and finished the last bit of ice cream, “I don’t know there’s just something about her.”
“That’s a very good reason to hate her.”
“I never said I hated her!”
Axel chuckled and stood up, “I’m goanna warm up, wanna come with me?”
Roxas shook his head, “I think I’ll stay here for a little longer, besides, the last time I went with you to warm up I almost died in Agrabah’s sweltering desert!"
Axel stood up and opened a portal, whatever, see ya!”
--Axel did go to Agrabah and ended up on his back in the middle of the desert, just as Roxas predicted. It’s not his fault he’s overly sensitive to the cold. Axel’s body temperature was higher than normal due to his fire wielding, but it was also very easy for him to lose that heat. He’d customized his coat to keep his body at the perfect temperature and had also covered it in a non-flammable substance he’d created himself. Just in case he got carried away with his chackrams-he loved the heat, just not being on fire.
Eating ice cream was different. The cold was inside his body and gradually sucking the warmth out of him-a very painful experience, but Sea-Salt ice cream was worth it. He imagined this would be the male equivalent of giving birth. He groaned while trying to expose the upper part of his body to the sun. A sharp pain radiated through his abdomen, causing Axel to gasp and dig his fingers into the sand. God, why do I do this to myself?
He knew he’d be out here for at least a few hours-the pain usually went away once he threw up. When Roxas came with him last time, he questioned why he ate ice cream if it hurt. Because I like the way it feels in my mouth and it tastes amazing-not so much coming back up though.
Thinking about Roxas’s disgusted facial expression made Axel smile. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath and waited for the pain to stop.

Roxas stared out at the red and gold decorated sky of Twilight Town, he sighed and clenched and unclenched his fists. “Why do I have the Keyblade?” He wondered out loud, his gaze unmoving from the sky until a shout drew him out of his thoughts. He looked down and saw three kids cheering-two boys and one girl.“5,000 munny!” The girl shouted.
“We did it!” A tall, blonde boy responded.
“Let’s head to the beach!” The last boy said before the group of three disappeared inside the Station Tower.
“Earning munny, yelling and going places with friends-” he placed a hand on his chest- “is that what you do when you have a heart?” Despite the risk of falling, Roxas pulled his legs to his chest and rested his head on them.
Why did the Keyblade choose me? Are there things that I don’t know, but other members do? Roxas knew that if he asked, he wouldn’t get straight answers, not even from Axel. Now, he was seriously considering doing something that would probably get him killed, but if it meant that he would finally get his questions answered, he didn’t care. I’m leaving Organization XIII.

Axarhs was dancing around her room experimenting with her new ability. She’d figured out how to create ice from the air and sharpen it to use as a weapon or use it how she was now-to decorate her room. The walls were completely covered with it, strange designs and words were carved into different areas to make things more unique. She’d made a fairly large chandelier that hung above her bed and looked like it was made from millions of diamonds. There were different types of sculptures scattered around and finally, she’d covered the balcony doors with a thick layer of ice that could keep anyone outside from looking in.After she was satisfied with her decorations, she heard shouting coming from somewhere in the Dark City. She stepped out onto the balcony and scanned the area. The shouting was a lot closer to the castle than she thought.
She could make out two figures-one tall and one short. The tall one had bright red hair, that must be Axel. She couldn’t see any features on the smaller person this far away. Ignoring the warning from earlier, she decided to get a closer look.
Axarhs quickly created a path of ice that led toward the two. She tried to be quiet while sliding down it, but the sound of her boots scraping against the ice alerted Axel. He quickly summoned his chackrams, whipped around and threw them-the fire barely missing her face.
“This doesn’t concern you!” He shouted while drawing his chackrams back into his hands. There was a wild look in his eyes-like he could kill her right now without a second thought.
She could see the person he’d been talking to was a blonde boy-not Demyx, this kid was much shorter.
“No one would miss me,” the blonde said as he turned away.
“That’s not true, Roxas!” Axel shouted, but he’d already vanished. He turned his attention back to Axarhs, “daddy’s little ice princess, needs to learn not to get involved in other people’s business!” Before Axel could throw his chackrams again, Axarhs used her newfound ability to throw ice at Axel, slashing his cheek open.
She could hear the obscene words he was shouting as she retreated back into her room, closing and locking the door behind her.
