Adhityan and Prathap both took one last look at the window of the quarters house that used to have a familiar angelic face waving at them.

That was her way of reminding Adhi to eat his lunch on time.
Her way of reminding Prathap to keep in touch.
Everytime they looked back to that window that belongs to her room, she'll always be there.

Now looking back all they saw or felt was emptiness. Emptiness from the lack of her warmth in their lives.

Sighing from both sides they got into the car. Adhi took one last deep breath closing his eyes after gripping the steering.

Prathap noticed it, he knows how hard this could be for Adhi, more than himself but it was needed. Adhi had to come out of it and not even his wife would have liked for Adhi to cling with the past.

Prathap gave a pat on Adhi's back after buckling his seat belt,
P: Polam pa

Adhi nodded and started driving towards their new home,
To new beginnings.

~~~~~~~~
They got down from their car after parking it in the space that was reserved for them to be welcomed by the secretary of Sunshine Residence and ex-house owner who came to check on them. He looked at the 10th floor building that stood in front of him.
So this is new beginning
Adhi mentally cheered him up.
But Adhi wasn't sure if he liked all the formal exchanges that happened between them and his father, only because they knew that Prathap used to be in a higher post before retirement. It all felt as if they were on a mission to catch some smugglings or something. Especially when the secretary, Mr. Muthu who was of the same age of Prathap, was torturing them with his own cooked up missions and adventures on their way to their apartment. 5 minutes walk from the parking area to the lift felt like 5 years with his unendurable flatters.
The house owner himself wondered if this guy had even seen or imagined half of the things he said while Adhi mentally reminded himself to never bump into this man.
Suddenly his thoughts were distracted by the noise of some loud giggling sounds coming from the open playground that they were walking past.
Adhi turned his head towards there to find a small boy and a girl, a young girl with long hair who was facing the opposite side, swaying in the swing. Adhi wondered what kind of human beings would be in the playground in broad daylight.
Especially when the sun was brighter and hot than any other days. Shrugging off as it was none of his business, he followed behind the trio walking in front of him, almost starting to get used to the story of how Mr. Muthu saved this entire Residence from terrorism hijack once.
Adhulam set panniyachu Macha, Ippo room arrange pannitu irukken
Adhi told his friend Arjun, who was enquiring about their settling in their new house to which they moved to this morning. It was an two bedroom detached house in the 8th floor. They have already arranged the living room, kitchen and dining space with the help of the maid and the movers. And now, both Adhi and Prathap took their own time unpacking their stuffs and arranging their rooms as they both know that there is where they'll be spending most of their solitary anyways.
Ar: Seri da, naa evening office mudhinjadhum sapadu vangittu varen. Vera yedhavadhu venuma?
Ad: Adhulam onnu venam macha, naa pattukuren.
Ar: Seri da, na varumbothu kupudren, 8th floor dhane?
Ad: Ama da
Ar: OK da, bye.
Ad: bye
Right on cue once he hung up the phone, the doorbell rang. Adhi frowned in confusion, it has been only probably 6 hours since they vacated and they seemed to have guest. Hitten by curiosity, he walked out from his room to the door but stopped halfway when he saw his father who was already attending the visitor. He saw two womans, one whom he recognised as Mr. Muthu's wife, Chitra but the other one was new
Hi uncle, en peru Suja, nanga unga neighbours. Edhutu veetla dhan irukkum. Adhan vandhu pathutu polamnu vandhen.
Suja politely introduced herself to which Prathap gave an contagious smile,
P: Oh, nice to meet you ma. House owner kuda sollirndharu. BTW naa Prathap idhu en paiyan Adhithyan
Prathap pointed towards Adhi who was standing behind him and listening to the whole exchange.
It's no surprise that his father can sense someone presence without even looking behind, he is military.
Adhi plastered warm smile and a nod to the woman in front of him who was probably just a few years of age difference with him, to which she returned the gesture by smiling back.
Ch: Illa Anna neenga inniki dhan vandhinga, ippothan yellam set pannirupinga. Adhan ungaluku lunch yeduthutu vandhom.
Chitra handed over the food containers that Adhi had just noticed. He went forward to take it from them, mentally reminding himself to return the gesture sometime soon after muttering a thanks.
He went to place it on the dining table while the other three were talking. When Adhi came back,
Su: Seri uncle, neenga ippothan move panninga, velaiya irupinga so naa poitu aprom varen. Yedhavadhu'na kandipa koopdhunga. En husband vaandhone kandipa ungaluku introduce pannirdhren.
P: Sure ma, thank you.
Suja bid him for one last time after passing a nod to Adhi before walking out to her house which was no more than just 7 steps away.
P: Such nice peoples'la?
Prathap asked Adhi after closing the door behind him but all he got for an answer was,
Ad: Hmm yeah
Well, of course, what did he expect?
It was his son after all.
~~~~~~~~

Suja gasped in horror when she saw her kitchen looking all messed up. She had been out to Chitra ma's house which was just few blocks away to help her with packing lunch for their new neighbours house for no more than an hour and it appears that her sister and son could not keep their hands to themselves.

They have evidently tried to make milkshake or whatever because the milk carton, cocoa powder, ice cube trays and some other what-that-even-is was scattered all over the kitchen counter. The sink was filled with utensils that you won't even need for milkshakes which made Suja wonder what were they even doing.

She closed her eyes to take a deep deep breath but before she could even exhale, she heard something falling from one of the rooms.
The devil that she was born with and the one that was born from her just never seems to get exhausted and that was the last straw,

Dhiraaaa!!!!
