CHAPTER 28

Kavin's eyes slowly adjusted to the bright tides of sunrays that sipped into the room, his head felt like it could crack open due to the intense pain at anytime.

He yawned loudly, stretching himself and sat up whilst taking in his surroundings,

Suddenly he heard someone hissing, Kavin looked around startled,

Kavin realised that it was coming from the cupboard nearby, he tilted himself with fear in his eyes and asked,

Arjun peaked out from within the clothes and exclaimed. Kavin almost jolted, there was an awful headache, piercing his head already, now there came Arjun.

What a bright day after a heartbreak!

Kavin heaved a sigh of relief and rested his elbow on his knee by supporting his head on his palm,

Kavin asked Arjun, Arjun nodded pouting pitifully,

Suddenly they heard the doorknob twist open from outside, Arjun gulped and went back inside the clothes.

Kavin inhaled sharply when it hit him,

How were him and Adhi going to face each other now?

They were already in admist of a feud,
Kavin had just stormed away from Adhi and Dhira the previous day,
He might have probably lashed out at them in his drunken state,

Yet at the end of the day, it was Adhi who brought him back to his senses. As always.

As a cue to his thoughts, a familiar hand with long slender fingers holding a glass of lemon juice.

Kavin turned his head away, but Adhi wasn't easy to give in. He didn't budge to move even an single inch. He stood completely rooted until Kavin took the glass from him.

Arjun from inside the cupboard peaked out, he looked at the scenario and hissed at Kavin. Adhi knew it but pretended to have not noticed and eavesdropped.

Kavin looked at Arjun from sideways,
Arjun whispered as he used his hands to convey what he said,

Kavin was sipping the juice, abruptly he turned towards the cupboard,

Arjun out of an impulse, stuck his head out,

Adhi turned around to face Arjun making him gulp,
