Lilith walked on campus with Estelle and Estelle's boyfriend, Derek Feldman. They bumped into Randy who seemed to be rushing somewhere. "You three have to see this!" He frantically said, walking off quickly. The three looked at each other with confused looks before following after him. The four of them had come upon a press conference that was swarmed with hundreds of reporters. "Oh my god. This is huge." Randy said, the four approaching Mickey who was standing behind all of the reporters.
"Do you have any suspects?" A lady at the front questioned. "Lilith look, it's Gale Weathers." Randy grabbed Lilith's arm, bringing her beside him. "What?" Lilith asked while she tried to find the woman in the crowd of people. "Star of the Gale Weathers press conference, based on the book by Gale Weathers. Soon to be a major motion picture starring Gale Weathers." Randy spoke to Mickey's camera. Lilith sat down on the stone wall, gazing at Gale.
Flashbacks from Woodsboro drowned Lilith's head. "Be kind. She got hurt that night too." Lilith said. "She had calf implants." Randy looked closer at Gale. "Chief Hartley, do you plan on giving the town a curfew?" Gale asked. "I'm gonna get closer." Randy left the group to join the sea of people. "So that's her?" Derek asked, moving to stand beside Lilith. "Yeah." Lilith combed back her hair with her fingers. A group of sorority girls in brightly colored clothes strutted up to the group.
"Hello, girls. Enjoying yourselves?" The tall, blonde girl asked. Lilith turned her eyes away from the press conference to look at the preppy girls. "Oh, hello, Sister Louis, Sister Murphy." Estelle straightened up her posture, greeting the ladies. "Hello, pledge. Hi, Lilith." The blonde discarded of Estelle's presence and brought her attention to Lilith. "Hey." Said Lilith dryly. "This must be flat-out hell for you. How are you holding up?" The blonde and the brunette girl pretended to care about Lilith.
"I manage." Lilith answered, not liking the way they treated Estelle. "It's really weird, isn't it? To think this fuss is all because of you!" Estelle rolled her eyes while Lilith swiped her tongue across her front teeth. "I mean, not directly, but in some six-degrees-of-Kevin Bacon way." The blonde smiled, her eyebrows arching halfway up her forehead. "Yeah, now um," The brunette finally spoke up, but was having trouble with her words. "Estelle, are you gonna bring your friend to our little martini mixer tonight?" The brunette asked.
"I have a lot of work to do." Lilith said. "We'll be there." Estelle said at the same time. "Oh, good. Because Lils, we have our eyes on you. You hang in there and if there is anything we can do-" The brunette brought her voice down to a whisper. "The Delta Lambdas are very sensitive to your plight." The blonde finished for her friend, placing her hands over her heart. Lilith sighed with relief as the girls bid their goodbyes. "You gonna start to dress like that once you get in?" Derek leaned over and asked.
"That's not gonna happen." Lilith shuddered to think how she would turn out after joining the girls sorority. "The Delta Lambdas are the biggest bunch of fuckin'-" Mickey was interrupted by Estelle. "Hey! I'm pledging Delta Lambda, thank you." Lilith laughed at Estelle's snap at Mickey. Lilith looked over the campus. "Oh, my god." Lilith stood up when she noticed a stumbling figure who looked lost.
"Dewey?" Lilith called out as she ran towards the limping figure. "Lilith!" Dewey smiled. Lilith gave Dewey a tight hug. "What're you doing here?" Lilith asked. "Well, I heard what happened and was on the first flight over." Dewey explained while they began to walk away. "How're you holding up?" Dewey asks after him and Lilith found a white table to sit at. "Okay, I think." Lilith said, picking at her finger nails. "How is softball?" Dewey questions. "Great! Coach says we might be able to make the championship this year. Also, my therapist says that softball is helping me let out all my pent up anger."
"That's great. I'm happy for you!" Dewey says, patting Lilith's hands. "Listen, Lilith... I'm gonna be sticking around for the next few days because of what happened." Dewey explains, looking around the campus. "I don't need a protector, Dewey. I'm fine." Lilith sighs. "I know. It's just.. you never know." Dewey whispers. "Alright, fine. Just be careful." Lilith says. "I should be the one telling you that." Dewey chuckles.
