Oh My Gabby

Figuring things out..

Nagmemeeting sa SC office with Amy, Charles and Patrick pero preoccupied si Sophie. Di mawala sa isipan niya ang pag-amin ni Gabby kanina sa kanya.

"Sophie!Absentminded ka na naman. Are you okay?" Amy asked Sophie. She was worried of her best friend, she has gone too much for her age.

"Not exactly guys.. Can I tell you a secret?" Sophie looked at her best friends. "I had a big fight with Gabby kanina eh, tapos.. tapos he told me he loved me. "

Sophie looked at her friends and waited for a reaction pero just agreed and gave her a nod.

"Well I won't say i'm surprise. " Patrick said.

"Everyone in the room knows Sophie." joined Charles.

"Well except Sophie of course." added Amy. "How do you feel?"

Gulat si Sophie when she heard this from her friends. How could she be blind all along. Was she doing things na made Gabby think differently about her?

Did I mislead him? Sophie asked herself sa isip niya.

"I don't know Ams. It just never went into my mind. I grew up with him. I have a lot of things to think about kaya di ko naisip na magka crush sa kahit sino. This thing has blown out of proportion!" Sophie honestly told her friends.

I mean, any girl would be lucky to be liked by Gabby, mabait, masunuring anak, hardworking, smart, he is good looking naman. But Gabby, more than friends...?

"Maybe you guys just need to talk. You know after all, kababata mo naman siya Sophie. " Patrick advised her.

"Pero ang weird naman non,so after she knows na he likes her. What na? Liligawan ka na niya?" Charles asked.

"OMG! i didn't think of that pa! Oh my oh my G! How am i ever gonna talk to him?" Sophie asked her friends hysterically. "This never happened to me before. Di ko alam anong sasabihin sa kanya!"

"You'll figure it out Sophie. You always do.." Amy said trying to console her best friend.

What Amy said to Sophie didn't console her any bit. Sophie for the past couple days had been avoiding any possible ways of talking to Gabby. She has not figure it out yet. She would rather avoid Gabby than to have another confrontation with him again.

It was weird not talking to Gabby all day. She could feel his eyes looking at her but she made herself busy sa maraming bagay. And I think Gabby got the message narin kasi he was not trying to talk to her either.

Sophie was sitting in the bench waiting for Mang Dante.

"Sophie! " Sophie turned around and saw teacher Ninang. They hugged. "I miss you! Parang I have not seen you the past couple of days."

"EH kasi teacher Ninang I was so busy with the SC club kaya i didn't get the chance to visit you." Sophie, it's bad to lie. Ayaw ni G na nagsisinungaling ka, lalo na kay teacher Ninang. She looked around checking to see if Gabby was anywhere near them.

"May hinahanap ka ba Sophie?" Teacher Ninang asked.

"Di niyo po kasama si JC, teacher Ninang? Ikaw lang ang uuwi?"

"Sinundo na siya ni Kuya Von mo kasi nagpromise ata kuya Von mo na tuturuan siya mag basketball pag day off niya." sagot ni T. Ninang.

Sophie let a sigh of relief. If umalis na si JC then it means umalis narin si Gabby,right? Sophie thought.

"You want to come along with me Ninang? Hatid na kita."

"Ok lang Sophie. Kailangan ko pa mamalengke. I have to go ha? Ok ka lang dito? Bye."  Teacher Ninang kissed sophie and left.

Nung umalis na si Teacher Ninang napatulala si Sophie.

"Sophie, wala pa sundo mo?" dumating si Harry at tumabi sa bench with Sophie.

"Di pa nga eh. But Manong Dante texted me he was just stuck in traffic."

"Listen Sophie. Thank you for giving Raki your time ha. Alam ko hindi madali yung ishare mo yung part of your past to someone." Harry said.

"Tita Raki is always-------" Sophie started but stopped at midsentence kasi standing just a few feet away is Gabby. Gabby staring at them intently with his dark eyes. Si Gabby na kababata niya. The same Gabby that told her that he loves her.
