People were gathering at the air base. Senetor Hammond being one of them as his helicopter landed. There was a band playing, it was a full on party. Izuku was there just drinking despite his young age.

Hammond: Rough night, huh?

Izuku: Hector. How you doing? What have you been up to?

Hammond: Same old, same old.

Izuku: Yeah. Me too.

Senetor Hammond: Izuku Midoriya. Worst Pilot I've ever seen. Or the best. Not quite sure.

Izuku: I've been called both.

Senetor Hammond: Glad you could make it, son.

Izuku: I was a little surprised I got the invite.

Senetor Hammond: No, you're family, Izuku. Ashame your wife couldn't make it, but you know, take care of the kids first. There are thinkers in this world and there are doers. And you are one of the doers.

Izuku: Yeah, but the thinkers make what I do possible. Wouldn't have a plane unless someone thought it up.

Senetor Hammond: Of course.

Hammond: Excuse me, I need a drink.

Senetor Hammond: I gotta get back to work. This is work.

Izuku: Yes, sir.

Senetor Hammond: Nice to see you, son.

Izuku: You too. You too.

Izuku walks away towards a model of a old plane. Carol was standing by it.

Izuku: Nice.

Carol: (clears throat) Yeah, my dad used to train in it.

Izuku: That and I was talking about your dress.

Carol: Nice jacket. Last time I checked, you didn't even own one.

Izuku: Yeah, I've been shaking up the wardrobe lately. Congratulations on the contract. How'd you manage to pull that off?

Carol: I pointed out you only won because you broke the rules of engagement. And Tom figured out how to give the Sabres more altitude. So I guess in a way, without even meaning to... you actually did us a favor.

Izuku: Look... I'm uncomfortable with the word "hero."

Unknown to them, Dr. Hammond was watching them as the performance ended.

Carl: Thank you. Thank you all for joining us. Great evening. Somebody very special I'd like to thank for helping us to nail this contract: My daughter, Carol Ferris. Come on!

The crowd cheered and applaud for her as she made her way to the stage.

Senetor Hammond: Congratulations, Carol. I take one look at you, young lady... or at Izuku Midoriya over there, spitting image of his dad and best friend... You give us hope.A toast to our future.

Everyone raised their glasses up in the air.

Senetor Hammond: We're in good hands.

Everyone cheered while Dr. Hammond slipped something into a cup and went on over to Carol.

Carol: Hector! Oh, my god! Hey!

Hammond: Congratulations. Um...

Carol: Thank you.

Hammond: Here's to you and Izuku, the future.

Carol: Yeah, heh, I'm sorry. I know it couldn't have been easy growing up with your dad. But, hey, you're doing great, so-- Ha, ha.
