Waking up the next morning, I knew that today would be.... Interesting to say the least. Especially when I see Alan. Last time I had a dream like that I couldn't stop thinking about it, why would this time be different?
I arrived at school and I notice someone walking towards me, it wasn't Alan it was Ally. "So how are you going to face him?" "I don't know" "Just don't make it weird" I notice a pretty looking girl wave at Ally, "Listen, I gotta go" I gave her the same smirk
"Oh fuck off" she said punching me in the arm, I laughed and started to head to my class. Of course on my way there I saw Alan. Instantly memories of the dream flashed in my head.
"Hey Alan!" I called out to him. He just turned around and gave a small and sad smile. "Must be the breakup" I thought. "Hey you look a bit down" "Yeah it's just the breakup" Figured. "Need to talk?" "No, It's fine... Thanks for caring anyways" "Yeah no problem, I will always care about you" I gave him a reassuring smile.
"Hey Al" "Yea?" "Wanna ditch school and just hang?" "My mom would kill me" "Well she's going to have to get through me first" He chuckles, I smile, it's nice seeing him happy.
"Ok fine" "Knew it, cmon" I grabbed his arm and pulled him to the lockers, then out of the school. "Do you have any requests?" "No not really" I smiled and nodded. We went to the bus stop, took the first bus that would take us to the center.
I wanted to take him to the mall, but then realized earlier that the only mall nearby was the same one Selene cheated on him in. So I decided it's better to go to the town centre.
There are a lot of café's and stores there so it was instantly my second option. We got out of the bus and I took for a specific alleyway near the art school.
Going down there, there was a nice, cosy café. We got there and I looked around "How did you even know about a plan like this" "Eh, I know a couple" I said, we ordered and sat down at a near by table.
It was nice to finally get to talk to him one on one, in a place which wasn't one of our homes or school. We didn't really talk much because we basically knew everything about eachother. I didn't tell him about my feelings though, it might have been the right setting but certainly not the right time.
We spent around 20 minutes there, after that we just walked around the city, if my mom was going to kill me, this was certainty something worth dying for.
We didn't even notice how fast time went by. I checked my phone and noticed 5 missed calls from mom. "Fuck" I thought to myself. I noticed Alan peering over my shoulder "You're fucked" "I'm fucked" I said.
At this point I'm actually scared. What if she takes away my devices over the weekend, then I won't get to talk to Alan for the whole weekend. As of this moment I am internally screaming.
I call my mom "Why where you not in school" "Sorry, Alan was going through something and I wanted to help" "Couldn't help while you where in school" "School is literally not helpful at all in this situation, he needed a break and I volunteered to give it to him" "Allright fine, you're still not getting your phone Saturday" "Fine" I hang up my phone. I honestly hate my mom.
I turn around to Alan "Mom's" "Yeah" "I think we should head back" "Ok" We start to walk back to the bus stop
We take the same bus since of course we live close to eachother.
We get of at the stop and he turns to me "Well then uh bye?" "Yeah" I look down at the floor, this is kinda awkward. "Thanks for inviting me out, I really needed that" "Yeah, no problem" I look up at him and pull him in for a hug. He hesitantly hugged me back. It felt nice, his smell, his warmth and his arms around me.
"Why did you do that?" "You seemed like you needed it" He smiled. "Well I'll see you around" "Yeah" I nod and head back to my house.
I then suddenly stopped "WAS THAT A DATE" I think to myself, my cheeks flaring up and me picking up my pace.
I get to my room, slam my door, flop down on my bed and quietly scream. Was that my first date?? I hope it was, even though he might not see it that way.
