Often times, humanity can be a cruel place. Yet somehow, it even has drops of kindness here and there. Sprinkled through the years, from the beginning of the formation of the earth, to the stars that litter the sky. Often times, humanity and the supernatural forces were at odds. Science vs Magic, and yet, here within the world, it served to be a reason to let them coexist in one world. Whereas another would've caused them to constantly at each other's throats. It was a constant thing that was locked in a cycle, with only a few universes being able to attain true peace before it ended in a blaze of flames.

It was often times like this, Arno figured on how often he had focused on this fact, considering the various times he had seen this happen was often, and yet, it just gave him a thought the times that always continued, even when he had ended up

Here he was, a glass full of soda in his hand, since he didn't want to drink at the moment. This day was special to him, considering it was a bitter reminder of the thing he had forced himself to focus on for today. The constant hum and drum of the world around him constantly moving, yet nothing changed for now.

"The fact the rain is a constant companion to me..." He spoke, letting the words escape his lips as he sighed, his hand fumbling for a moment as he pulled out a pack of cigarettes, as the Fool soon saw a golden ring with the band of it having a pair of wings on it. His eyes widening slightly at the fact he soon saw the very ring that came from a person who was still dear to his heart, despite his age, he knew this person would still be apart of him.

'Catrina..' The Fool thought, bitterness and yet, warmth was in his heart as he clenched his hand, the days of how he first met her were still in his mind. He could still hear her voice, feeling the touch of her hand against his cheek, the loving smile she gave him after a long day of hard work. The phantom touches he could feel gave him a bitter reminder of it. Albeit, his tired, silver eyes looked out of the window of a home he had bought for himself, as the sight and scent of the rain.

It reminded him of the day he had met her.

Practically one of the best days he had in his long life.

The day he had met his first wife.

FLASHBACK...

The rain poured down on his battered and bloody figure. His legs, despite being broken in like hell, were healed enough for him to practically walk and drag himself down to a bus stop to hopefully get some rest in. The sword he had from his brother Nero, Red Queen, was clutched in his hands, the very blade drenched in blood and the guts of the demons he had massacred without a second thought to give them any mercy. A cruel, empty laugh escaped him, driving away other people who were at the bus stop to find another place, a taxi or something to get them home.

The man's silver eyes soon looked at the bench for a moment, as he soon placed himself on the wooden frame of it, his lips open as he was taking in deep breaths. Arno knew he had to get himself steady soon, but since this was his early days of using his powers, he wasn't as use to fighting tough battles everyday yet. So it was expected he had sustained more injuries than his current healing abilities could fix up, now Arno was paying the price for it.

A frustrated sigh escaped him once again, since here he was, useless as ever. The grip on his sword tightened as a demonic growl escaped him, his own mind cursing himself as The Fool had problems with himself, being lost in his own mind. He didn't notice someone coming up to him before he heard a voice, a human one call out before he whipped around and pointed the gigantic blade at the figure. Taking a second, he noted the woman's appearance.

Tall, reaching up to 5'6", with platinum blonde hair and her eyes looking like the blue sky on a cloudy day, yet she was dressed properly for the weather. Her figure covered in thick clothing, was evident in the fact she was rather curvy, and yet she was holding an umbrella in one hand and a purse in the other, a bag of groceries on another seat letting Arno see she was picking something up, as the woman spoke again, Arno hearing it clearly this time, "You alright? The sword you got there is cool, but judging by the wounds you got, you seem more in pain there.." The woman stated, it was obvious thanks to the amount of blood leaking from Arno's clothing.
