We were in the middle of another meeting when finally Snape came in. "Ah Severus, I trust you bring news?" "It will happen Saturday next. At nightfall." Snape said when another death eater interrupted. "I have heard different my lord..." They started arguing about who is right while a loud shriek emitted from the dungeons. "Wormtail! Haven't I talked to you about keeping our guest quiet?" "Yes my lord" Wormtail said going downstairs. When Nagini started to speak,

"Master, It's time." Almost a few seconds later he dissaparated. But before dissaparating, he said, "You know what to do." As soon as he left I got up from my chair. "My father is the one destined to kill the Potter boy. But, he faces a unfortunate complication. You see, Potter's wand and his wand have matching cores, in some way, they are brothers. They can inflict harm on each other but not lethally. To complete the task, he needs another's wand." I paced around the table stopping at the Malfoys. "Lucius, don't you want to prove to the dark lord that you're his most faithful servant? "My lady?" He asked. "Your wand." I said stretching out my hand. Lucius gave his wand to me and I twirled it in my hands. "Elm... Dragon heartstring. Is that correct?" I said breaking the wand in two. "Yes, my lady." He said looking scared and pale like Draco. Both men were tense as I ever saw them. "But then again to prove you most faithful you need a wand." I said rejoining the two pieces together. Lucius Malfoy gratefully took his wand from me.

"Now we'll move on to some more important manners. For those who don't know we are joined here today by Miss Charity Burbage who, until recently, used to teach at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as Muggle Studies teacher. She believes that muggles are no inferior to us." Laughter rang through the room but quieted when I raised my hand. "Avada Kedavra!" I fired the killing curse at her and she fell from the ceiling to the table but she was dead before she hit the table. I could see Draco stock still and pale as I have ever seen him. Next second my father apparated next to me. "Well done, daughter." I bowed and sat down in my place next to him. He called the snake and we all watched it as it devoured her. Next second all the death eaters were gone except for Snape. "Swan, Malfoy come with me." He said ushering all three of us into one of the rooms.

"I thought since I had come here I'd give you two your Hogwarts letters." He said holding out two envelopes sealed with the Hogwarts crest. "It also has a surprise for you two." And for once, it seemed like Snape was smiling. "And congratulations on the engagement. I will be there on your ceremony tomorrow." He dissaparated. "Son." Draco's father called him. I went back upstairs to Draco's room and broke down. I had just killed someone. I was in complete shock with myself. I never thought I had the courage to kill but here I was. I didn't have long to grieve though because at that exact moment an owl came flying through Draco window. It was Hedwig!

I eagerly opened the letter which was from Harry. As I read the lines I started getting more visions. Mad-eye Moody, Bill Weasley, a tent. Draco came and sat beside me. "What did you see?" He asked me as I snapped out of my visions. "See it for yourself." I gave him the letter and he read it. "Snape was right, he is being moved." I said more to myself than to him. "So Potter thinks that you have gone completely dark?" "Which is true in it's way but I'm not like them."  I said.

We then opened our hogwarts letters and a badge fell out. Smirking, Draco put his badge along with his old prefect and the Inquisitorial Sqaud badge.

Marriage day

Narcissa helped me wear the gorgeous dark green dress for my wedding. It was especially made with Slytherin techniques and charms added on the fabric. As Narcissa was checking the order of my clothes she slipped in a necklace. "And your father told you to keep this locket." She said handing me a locket. It was vibrating slightly under my fingers when I noticed the S on the locket. "This was Salazar's wasn't it?" I said putting it on. "Yes" Came the response from my side.

I never imagined my wedding like this.

Not this dark way.

I always imagined a light, flowy dress and decorations but that was not what I saw as I walked down the aisle. Dark and cold as it was, I still enjoyed it. I somehow felt more.... powerful. Not my usual shy self. Next second, I am embracing the dark side of me.

Draco did not talk to me after we retired to our rooms that night. I couldn't look him in the eye either. I turned around abrubtly as he made a move. He gently took my hand and led me out of his room and to the balcony. Stars. "Why do you like stars so much?" I asked him. "When my father used to scold me, mum took me up here to look at stars. I know a lot about astrology from her. And anyway," He chuckled "...My name literally means dragon in Latin." We both smiled silently as a quiet understanding passed through us.

 .....

"Dementors, Horcruxes, Inferi, blood cores." I said running my hand along the spines of these books. "Blood cores are best for your level." Draco said absent-mindedly flicking his wand. "For fuck's sake Draco!" I muttered under my breath as he did the water producing charm and my book got wet. "Sorry." He said siphoning the water from the book. "I always wondered whether your core was in the middle of the scale or something." He said while searching for another book to read. "Neutral in other words." I corrected him. "Does it bother that I know 5 languages more than you?" He muttered angrily. "Ça ne me dérange pas Draco." (It does not bother me Draco) I said in french. "Do you have something sharp." I said stretching my hand out. "Yeah why?" "I need it that's why." He took out a sharp dagger from his suit pocket. "Now we'll find out what my core is." I cut myself and dropped a  few drops into a vial and put the stopper on. I healed my hand in and instant and cast the spell from the book. The blood flew out of the vial and wrote in the air  'DARK CORE'  "There you have it." I said as it dissapated into thin air. "What are the special abilities of dark cored people?" Draco asked me playing with his rings. "Dark cored people are very charming munipulators. They have magic more powerful than any other cores. I recited.
These were highlights of our lives before we went to Hogwarts.  Happiness can be found even in dark cored people, I suppose.
