"Oh but would you look at that one! Is he going to stop hitting on the bartender?" Polnareff said, offended.

"He's been trying for at least ten minutes now," Kakyoin added, sighing.

"While it is clear that they have no desire to talk to a drunken man," Avdol continued.

"No, alcohol isn't the problem!" the French exclaimed. "The problem is that he doesn't know how to do it properly! You must be delicate! Gentle! Listening!"

"Ah yes, it's true that it's been working so well for you since the beginning of our trip", Kakyoin joked sarcastically.

"Hey!"

"Polnareff is right though," Joseph added, finishing his drink in one sip. "This is not the way to do it. You gotta be smooth, not a big brute!"

"Ha, do you speak with experience, Mr Joestar? "

Joseph glared at him for a moment, before peering into the bottom of his empty glass, growling in frustration. He started rubbing his beard, staring into the void as if suddenly remembering the good old days, and Polnareff chuckled.

"I take that for a yes? Ha, bullshit!

"Of course I have experience!" Joseph exclaimed indignantly.

"Yare yare daze..."

Jotaro growled, pulling his cap down over his eyes. Kakyoin covered his mouth so as not to laugh too hard, but Polnareff chuckled harder.

"Whatever!"

"But stop laughing, idiot!"

"I do not wish to offend you Mr. Joestar," Avdol interrupted in an amused voice, "but it is quite hard to believe such a thing when you have been married for so long. "

Joseph gritted his teeth and grumbled. It was clearly not his marriage that would prevent him from using his charms. Ehm, after all, he had done it before... Somber story. He preferred not to think about it again. He growled drunkenly, rubbing his beard once again.

"You all doubt my charm, right?"

"Oh no, I wouldn't dare!" Avdol defended himself, refraining from laughing.

Polnareff laughed harder, tears appearing at the corners of his eyes, a hand on his stomach. Kakyoin pursed his lips so as not to join him in his dumb giggles, and Jotaro was growling even harder.

"I don't want to participate in this conversation," he mumbled through his teeth.

"You all underestimate me!" Joseph exclaimed, offended, after hiccuping for having finished his glass of whiskey a little too quickly. "I'll show you now that the old man has even more charm than all of you put together!"

"That's it! Bet!" Polnareff chuckled, wiping the tears of laughter from his eyes.

Joseph banged his fist on the table and stood up abruptly. The alcohol quickly rose to his head and he had to wait several seconds to come to his senses. Then he grabbed his empty glass and staggered over to the bar, making every effort to look natural, ignoring the hyena laughters at his table. He leaned on the counter, a charming smile on his lips, before glaring at the man at the bar who kept annoying the bartender. The man raised an eyebrow, but he continued his annoying game.
