*The Next Day*

Louis'  POV:

"Alright class, pick a partner and begin writing the essay." Mr. Payne announced. Harry turned around as fast as lightning, grabbing my arm tight. "Partner," He smirked. I let out a dramatic sigh then started to whine, "I already promised Eleanor! She's pretty, popular, and my dream girl." My glance shifted to Eleanor as she giggled away with her best friend and partner for the essay. Harry looked hurt, then quickly changed his expression. "Sucks. You can dream about her all you want when you're asleep. But now, we need to get this essay shit done."

Harry's POV:

With Louis' ultra nerd brain and writing ability, we were the first people done. As I returned to my seat, something hit me. Louis. He's so...adorable and innocent. Almost puppy like. I feel really bad that I'm using him for my grades but he's obvlious. I wonder why I'm thinking he's adorable...I mean, I like girls. Certainly not guys. Oh well, I shook the thought off.

"So, what are you doing after school today?" Louis asked as I sat down. "Probably hanging out with Zayn, do this, do that." I winked and smiled wide. Lou's eyes widend. He was thinking, I guess. Finally he spoke. "Studying for the four tests tomorrow," He smiled, obviously proud and confident that he was for certain going to ace them. I rolled my eyes. "School sucks. It doesn't prepare us for the real world. What's the point?" I shrugged. Louis sat in shock, mouth hanging open. "Yes it does prepare us for the real world. How would you know if you don't even do the fucking work?" Louis said as he got up and left into the hall.

Louis' POV:

How dare Harry say school doesn't prepare us for the real world. He doesn't even do the work, or even come to school most of the time. He only cares about weed and Zayn. To think I even thought of us as friends. Let me be honest with you, I overheard him telling Zayn that he's only friends with me to use me for his grades. I walked around out in the hall, to the bathroom, got a drink from the water fountain, then returned to class.

"Mr. Payne, please never let Harry be my partner for any assignment ever again." After I said that, Harry looked down at his combat boot feet. He was hurt. "But, I need you Louis." He whispered, voice cracking. He was trying to hide the fact that he was crying.
