FORESTSTAR

I'm going to be late! RedHeart was going to meet him here at sunrise but some duties came up. He prayed that RedHeart understood and waited for him.

He heard some chatter behind the bushes and his body froze. Could some Thunderclan cats come over and find RedHeart? Did they know about them? He crouched down and shuffled into the bushes and waited, listening over to the cats just beyond the leaves.

He shuffled forward a little to get a better look at them but somehow he heard one of them stand up and stay behind him. He wondered how a cat could have heard him, he was incredibly silent.

He cursed under his breath. He would take this as a leader.

He stood up and pushed through the leaves to find three ShadowClan apprentices standing together, CrowPaw in the middle, doing his best to protect them. But everyone's eyes widened as the two realized each other.

ShadowClan apprentices found their leader away from camp alone.

DEWPAW

DewPaw stood up quickly, almost toppling over as CrowPaw stepped in front of her and BlazePaw swiftly

Within seconds the rustling stopped and a brown Tom emerged from the bushes.

Everyone's eyes widened as the leader, ForestStar, emerged with just as a surprised look as them. "Oh dear!" He said eying between the apprentices.

"ForestStar?" DewPaw said, her eyes wide. She didn't know why their leader was standing in front of them alone. Beside her, BlazePaw stood up quickly and bowed his head. She rolled her eyes at him while CrowPaw stood there frozen, Trying to understand the situation.

ForestStar stiffened up, His eyes narrowing as he looked between the apprentices. DewPaw's heart quickened when ForestStars met hers but they continued before landing on CrowPaw.
"What is Starclan's name are you three doing away from camp?" ForestStar asked, his face now turned into a mess of worry.

CrowPaw's tail slid over BlazePaw's and DewPaw's feet. Their signal to be quiet and just agree with him. DewPaw liked how CrowPaw stood up for them but sometimes she just wanted to rip his other ear off and speak for herself. To her, He got a little too high.

"We came out here to look for some food. Recently there has been an abundance of squirrels near here." CrowPaw said quickly, a smooth smile appearing on Tom's face.

That answer seemingly was taken by ForestStar and he gave a nod. "Well, as much as I appreciate you helping the clan. I believe you should be with a mentor next time. I will take you back and you will tell HailWing yourself where you have gone. She will decide your training then."

CrowPaw's ear fell a little, along with a small sigh. "But I'm so close to being a warrior." He muttered under his breath.

"What was that CrowPaw? Would you like me to ask HailWing to extend your training?" ForestStar said eying the gray cat with a snarl, just a tempting one, to show that he would if he continued to talk back.

CrowPaw's eyes widened and he immediately shook his head. "No! I'm good." He said and looked back at us two with a small smile. He managed to get us out of this situation, how many more could he do until he was caught red-handed?

ForestStar looked over at DewPaw and BlazePaw and eyed them for a second. Deciding what to do with them. "Since none of you caught anything, you can help MothPelt with his herbs." BlazePaw smiled while DewPaw groaned under her breath. DewPaw's parents always thought DewPaw would be the next big medicine cat since they always raised her around herbs. She knew them all by heart and could stand to hear MothPelt begin blabbering to her for one more minute.

CrowPaw almost snickered under his breath. He hated listening to MothPelt as much as DewPaw and anything would be better than to have MothPelt lecture you. DewPaw flashed him a snarl and he just looked away and laughed under his breath. What a prick.

They all shuffled back, BlazePaw with a little more bounce in his step. DewPaw rolled her eyes and nudged CrowPaw who looked a little dazed and confused, A look she didn't see often, It sort of took her by surprise. Within seconds, CrowPaw changed and looked at her with his usual look; Dorky.

CROWPAW

CrowPaw yawned. They had made it back to camp and facing HailHeart was the biggest challenge of the day. HailHeart decided on making him have to bring back almost double than what he normally would catch.

CrowPaw noticed BlazePaw and DewPaw chatting beside the medicine den. He decided that he could discuss the meeting with them.

He skipped over and took a seat beside BlazePaw who blinked a few times in surprise before he looked over at CrowPaw with a goofy smile.

"Hey CrowPaw!" BlazePaw said with entirely too much enthusiasm for CrowPaw's liking. But BlazePaw got a pass since he was his best friend.

CrowPaw gave a smile and leaned in. "Are you guys excited for the meeting or what? What do you think my warrior name will be?" CrowPaw said with excitement in his voice. His tail swung quickly behind him in a happy habit.

DewPaw laughed before she spoke. "CrowCrap." DewPaw said which just made her laugh harder.

CrowPaw pounced at her and lightly tugged at her ear. "You will regret putting such a name to my title." CrowPaw said before bouncing back where he was. DewPaw sat back up and cleaned her ear.

"Just kidding!" She said with a snort of laughter. "I really don't know, Probably something basic like CrowPelt or CrowWing." She said with a shrug. CrowPaw looked at her like he was trying to figure out if she was serious or not. She held his gaze and they both broke out into a fit of laughter.

BlazePaw stopped laughing under his breath. "I contradict DewPaw. I think that you will have some super name... like CrowHeart... or CrowFly." He said looking like he was scrambling to find his words.

"CrowFly?" DewPaw said with a pause. "That doesn't even make sense."

"Yes it does!" BlazePaw snapped back at her. "Like CrowPaw is so good at everything he just flies past all the rest."

CrowPaw shrugged. "CrowSoar would sound better but I like the idea. I still don't think I would land a name like that but it's all a thought." CrowPaw said with a shrug.

They all talked and laughed for what seemed like forever until ForestStar leaped up onto the leader's rock and called for all the cats to gather.

This was the moment that CrowPaw was waiting for. To hear his name called as one of the apprentices to be joined with for the meeting, He would get his warrior name and from then on.

He would make history.
