The good.
The bad.
The W I C K E D.

They say you may have faith in the good.
They say you may oppose the bad.
But what ever happened to the Wicked?

The land of Polyna had this exact problem.

I was born into the Luxi community, living under the placebo effect that I was a Luxi. This only happened because I had no irregularities, or impurities, in my soul. If I did, I'd naturally be born into the Tenebra community. But if you had no impurities, you could either be a Luxi... or a forgotten Malefice; not blessed with Light or Dark, but cursed with Chaos, not power from Stars or Shadows, but from your own will. A soul with no impurities, or a fully impure soul?...

Ever since my birth I lived as an Ungifted Luxi. But, in my early infant years, war was waged between the two communities. The Mages were called upon and Stars and Shadows were summoned, while the Ungifted fled to the outskirts of their communities villages. I was inevitably brought along with the Luxi and sent into hibernation with them.
This was the first war in centuries, I wondered what triggered it. There was this talk that this new being had been born and was going to end this world, but neither community wanted to confess... I thought these ideas over until the slumber took over me.
I awoke. Evidently, the battle had finished... but that's only what it seemed. The Luxi around me were still deep in sleep. I waveringly stood up. But I'm still in infant years, I couldn't stand up yet...
Something was happening.
I had grown taller. I was no longer in infancy, I was past adolescence, I was an adult, but not an adult Polyna. I was no longer pale-skinned, dark-eyed or obeying any of the laws of a Polyna's growth.
I was transforming.
My skin was darkening to a dull, dark grey. Horns made their way out of the sides of my forhead. Black-feathered wings had protruded from my shoulder blades. My eyes were tinged with a brilliant flashing red. Suddenly, out of the murkiness surrounding me, green flames scattered themselves around me.
I was primed.
