I had no choice now. The Chaos I was cursed with had intoxicated me. Time to destroy!
I flew over to the battlefield. I could see the flying flashes of dying Stars and heard the haunting howls of dying Shadows. But whether fighting or fading, the beings turned to me and my green flames. I landed gracefully, and there they stood, awestruck.
What now?
I let Chaos unleash it's true potential, and to destroy the petty Polyna and stab the Stars and Shadows. Infernos, storms and lightning played across in front of me, sending screams as shrill as nails on a chalkboard from the Polyna. Soon they were vanquished. But I couldn't, however, destroy the Stars or Shadows. They just stood there, stunned.
Now the Polyna were gone and the Stars and Shadows were weak, I could move on. I needed to make more Maleficents.
I needed the pure souls of Luxi. The unfortunate but still slumbering Luxi showed no signs of awakening. They still lay there, dreaming, thinking the chaos of war hadn't subsided yet. But their responsive hibernation was to my chaos.
I flared my wings. My blood red eyes glistened. I held my hands skyward. The horns embedded on my head were starting to charge with chaotic lightning. My hands blazed with green fire. Then all in an instant, storms, fires and lightning materialised and hovered above the Luxi. They didn't awake, of course, there was too much chaos, but it only gave me the upper hand in converting them.
I rose my wings higher. I admit I was slightly shocked by how well this worked. They still showed no signs of unrest or fear, not even the slightest utterance or stirring.
I let a grim smile creep across my face. With a thundering beat of my wings, the Chaos chose who it would implant. Each Luxi had above them either a gale of storm, flame of inferno or bolt of lightning. I clenched my hands into fists and each fragment of Chaos implanted itself into an unfortunate Ungifted Luxi's heart. They began to transform.
Maleficents, Maleficents at last!
The Tenebra came to mind. This realm belonged to me now, I didn't want any Polyna scum polluting it. I left the Maleficents to fully undergo their change and flew with sound barrier-shattering speed to the Tenebra village.
I glared down at the Tenebra as I landed. They slept, still aware of Chaos but unaware of me.
What could I do with them? Their souls were impure, they wouldn't do for more Maleficents, but they had to have some sort of use. My trail of thoughts was broken by deafening shrieks behind me!...
