Shadows were forming a crowd behind me... along with Stars. What in chaos's name were they doing? Were they joining forces? But Light and Dark, against, what?
They had foretold this. The birth and metamorphosis of the first Malefice. The chaotic trigger to enforce more Chaos. The job they'd have in store to stop it. Now I understood. Light and Dark, against Evil.
They all arranged themselves in a military fashion. What could that have possibly done? Intimidate me? Impossible! Chaos couldn't match any being, no matter how strong in magic or brawn.
Suddenly, the spiral-shaped Stars and the cloud-like Shadows, began to move in an elaborate tactical style. It didn't occur to me what they would achieve from the peculiar movement. In their little dance, the Stars began shimmering with a resonating shriek and the Shadows blared their nightmareish Hauntings. The explosion of noise stunned me. That's what they wanted; stun the enemy to make the attack easier.
But they didn't know that my power came from will. With the paralysis of physical power, my mentality increased drastically.
With my new reserve of power, I fought off my strangled movement and flew straight up. The next stage of my plan was to isolate a Star and a Shadow with each other. Two were conveniently about to attack with a step forward. I spiralled upwards and flared my hands with green flames. A cylindrical wall of thorns began to ascend from the ground around them. As it rose, the remaining Stars and Shadows scurried off in fear. The wall was so dense, tall and thorn-engraved it was impenetrable anyway. Swooping over the top of the wall and gliding down, I landed between the two bewildered beings. I shot the flames in my hands at either creature beside me. I slowly arched my arms above my head, beginning to charge green lightning around my horns. The flames trapped in the Star and Shadow shone with a brilliant fluorescent flash. They tried to attack. Their struggle was in vain. They tried for a few seconds, until they were completely exhausted of energy. So the merging began...
They were inching closer and closer to each other. This was so easy. With one last shove, the lightning orbitting my horns shot out at them as them finally made contact.
Their enjoinment gave off a blinding shine. Once the beacon sudsided, I could finally see my creation. But before I could observe, a choir of noises built up outside the secluded section. Were they attacking? There was nothing to suggest it, no thumping, shrieking or glassy resonation. Just noises...
They were only mourning, mourning the loss of two of their kind.
I shifted my attention to my new creation. To my surprise, it was nothing more than the Shadow's clouds contained in the Star's spirals. Among the light of the spirals and the eddies of the clouds were short but radiant flashes of green lightning. This was my assistance in Chaos...
Insanity.
