Will's stomach seemed to sink and he couldn't take in a breath but luckily as soon as the unpleasant sensation of shadow travel started it stopped.

He felt the solid ground beneath his feet and luckily kept his balance.

"Um, Nico?" Will realized as he took in their surroundings. "We aren't at camp."

"Not at..." Nico mumbled in reply, just barely conscious. "Sorry Sunshine." he fell forward and began to breathe deeply with sleep.

Will caught  his boyfriend easily, much accustomed to his post-shadow travel fainting sessions by now and lowered him to the ground.

He then scanned the perimeter to see that they weren't in any immediate danger.

They seemed to be at the edge of a wall though their were grassy planes on all other sides so Will was unsure if they were on the inside or outside of the area so he hoped that if they were on the inside whoever inhabited the place wouldn't be too concerned by their intrusion.

Although that probably wouldn't be the case if the barrier was any clue.

Will brought his focus to the clear sky and focused on the sun, it was high in the sky so judging by it's position it was around noon.

While Nico lay unconscious Will walked along the wall, not straying to far from his sleeping boyfriend.

He brushed against the stone blockade with with fingers. It was made from smooth gray bricks and stacked at least twenty feet high. You couldn't see anything behind the wall.

As he studied it closer Will noticed something unusual about the stones, most of them were engraved with a drawing or symbol that looked decidedly like something you would find on an ancient ruin or civilization.

Will traced one symbol with his finger but none of them looked like anything he'd seen before, they definitely weren't Greek.

He continued to look at the symbols trying to decipher them for who knows how long though he still had no clue what they meant.

He heard a stirring as he tried to jump up and get a better look behind the stone and whipped around as fast as he could thinking it was an attack.

His eyes fixated on Nico who had shifted slightly rustling the grass.

Will walked to his side, and the son of Hades's eyes opened slowly.

"Hey Neeks"

"Mm" Nico grumbled in reply. "How long was I out?"

Will didn't have an answer, he realized he had no idea.

When he looked up to the sun again he could tell it was around two o' clock, almost three perhaps it had something to do with Apollo being the sun god.

"Holy Hades it's almost three already?" Will wondered aloud.

"What time was it when we got here?"

"Like noon."

"I was asleep for over two hours and you didn't wake me up?" Nico exclaimed.

"I didn't realize how long it had been! I was over there looking at... Oh! Nico come look at this." Will pulled Nico to his feet.

"What are they?" Nico asked as Will showed him the engravings.

"Dunno, just found them, do you know what they say?" Will questioned.

Nico shook his head switching focus to the top of the wall. "D'you see those clouds at the top?"

"Clouds?" Will looked up. "Huh, yeah, I didn't see those before."

"What are they doing just there? The sky is perfectly clear everywhere else." Nico thought aloud. "And look, they go all the way around the top but only there. Nowhere else, like a ring around the wall obscuring vision in or out."

"Well what do you think-" Will cut himself off with a yelp and he felt hands wrap around his wrists.

"Will?" Nico turned around as fast as possible to find soldiers in armor holding Will by his wrists and another lunging to Nico to grab him as well.

"Invaders," a deep voice growled. "Prepare thyselves for execution, and see what we do to those who infiltrate on our lands."
