Immortal

Chapter One

"Um... This isn't good..." Will muttered facing the crumbling cavern ceiling that was caving in towards he and his boyfriend at an alarming rate.

"Oh! Really? No wonder your father is god of prophecy! Y'know it had completely slipped my mind that we aren't in the best situation right now!" Nico faced the other direction, back to back with will wielding his Stygian Iron sword in preparation for the hoard of monster charging toward them. 

"We don't have time for your sarcasm right now Nico." Will snapped. "We need to get out."

"Yeah, yeah. I'll shadow travel us. It's dark enough down here." Nico offered the other boy his hand.

"No way! it's not safe for you!" Will protested.

"Hmm, Do you know what else isn't safe? Falling cave roofs and angry monsters!"

The monsters were right there, a few small feet away, small pebbles and rubble from the ceiling peppered their shoulders. If they didn't move it would be chucks of rock larger than the Hades Cabin.

"Will. We need to go NOW." Nico glanced up and a small stone grazed the side of his face leaving a streak of deep red.

Will reached out towards Nico evidently finally realizing that they couldn't survive all the beasts only inches away now trying to kill them or being crushed by a chunk of granite.

They locked hands and Nico shut his eyes to concentrate.

One...
Two...
Three...

They melted into darkness.
