***Welcome to my first ever fanfiction and, of course, it's Harry Potter! I love the world J.K Rowling created and the themes of love and acceptance that followed Harry throughout his journey to defeat Voldemort. This story is my idea of a sequel (disregarding Cursed Child save for character names and appearances, kind of), one I hope will be able to honor the original.
In that way, this story's going to be pretty sanitized - that means no hardcore swearing, or depictions of under-age drinking or sex (snogging is a go!). The cast is diverse when it can be, think OCs, and know this story deals a lot with people in power maintaining an oppressive status quo through the silencing of others.
When all's said and done, this is a story about a girl who hears songs finding her voice in a world that doesn't accept her. ***
Also note, I'm American and prone to mistakes. If my Brits sound non-British or, on the flipside, comically British, or something doesn't make sense with the timeline, please point it out to me, (or better yet, toss me some tips/corrections) and I'll do my best to correct it.
Each chapter hovers around 5,000 words (I heard people enjoy longer chapters with their fanfic so long as they're paced well...hopefully, mine are).
Updates every Monday, hopefully, maybe. I'll try my best, honest.

It's a new year at Hogwarts and everyone's excited about what the year will bring. But no one, not even the so-called prophetic professor of Divinations, could have predicted the arrival of Ocean Blue Turner. A fifteen-year old Muggle from America who claims everything from Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, to the stodgy Headmistress of Hogwarts, Minerva McGonagall, sings.
Songs that only she can hear. Clearly, it's not typical Muggle behavior, but there's nothing in the text books that state otherwise.
Unable to get ahold of her aunt, Ocean Blue deals with her situation the only way a Muggle, whose discovered magic exists, can - when not screaming, she's in full-blown denial. But the Wizarding World is real, and Blue must acclimate to it if she hopes to last. But with the absence of her aunt weighing heavily, and a particularly harsh song rising from the tomb of Hogwart's previous headmaster, Blue and the friends she's made along the way, grow ever more certain one thing is clear:
Whatever Blue is, she's not just a Muggle.
