Raven was unable to sleep that night for an odd and unexplainable reason.

Currently Raven was laying in his bed singing.

Raven: And I will not a-pologize! I don't know where I'm gonna go, but I don't care I'm on the road! Never been a perfect soul but I will not apologize! Been a lot of places in this life, and I did a lot wrong I can't make right! Never been a perfect soul but I will not apologize!

*boom*

The bases alarms blared.

Raven quickly jumped up and grabbed his sword.

Raven bust his door down and ran down the hall, the hard driven feet making a loud impact sound when they hit the floor.

Raven: WAKE YOUR CANDY ASSES UP!

Raven continued running until he finally got outside where he saw...

Raven: VALS AND KATES!? FUCKIN' JAPS!

Raven focused all the energy in his body.

Raven: I AM THE RAVEN! OMEN OF DEATH!

Soon enough, some of others had joined in.

Raven: I really don't want you to be out here Arizona bu-

*BOOM*

Arizona: AHHH!

Arizona collapsed in pain.

Raven looked to Arizona and then back to the harbor, that's when he saw it. The Arizona.

Raven instantly grabbed Arizona and hoisted her over his shoulders. Raven then used his enhanced speed to get to Vestal faster.

Raven: VESTAL! VESTAL!

Vestal: Wh-Oh no! What happened?

Raven: A Jap bomb hit between her superstructure and 2nd turret. It detonated the magazine.

Vestal grabbed Arizona and placed her on a bed. Raven also noticed something about Vestal.

Raven: Shit. Vestal!

Vestal: What?

Raven: Your arm.

Vestal looked at her left arm and saw it was bleeding.

Vestal: I'll take care of it, no-

Pennsylvania: VESTAL! 

Raven looked down the hall as Vestal was treating Arizona.

Raven: Vestal, you have 3 more inbound!

Vestal: Thanks for the heads up.

Raven then ran out and opened up the side plating of his rigging, revealing the anti-air.

Raven: LET 'EM HAVE IT!

The tracers lit the sky up like the 4th of July.

Then two carriers came into sight.

Raven: I know those ship silhouettes all too well.

Akagi: Wait what!? Who are you!? Where did you come from!?

Raven: Just a lil' birdie passing on by. I'm from Shangri-La.

Raven then rushed at Akagi. However a katana came in and blocked the hit.

Kaga: Not so fast!

Akagi unsheathes a katana.

Raven: Even with my experience, I'm no match for these two if they're anything like the ones in my world.

Akagi and Kaga take a swing at Raven, with the latter-most just barely able to dodge.

Raven: LIGHTS OUT!

*Timeskip*

Pennsylvania: Raven, what happened back there?

Nevada: Yeah, I'm also curious.

Raven: Nothing. All you need to know is that they retreated, but I fear for Oklahoma and Arizona.

Raven then rushed towards the medical ward.

Raven: Vestal, how's Arizona and Oklahoma?

Vestal: On deaths door.

Raven: If you remove the wisdom cube, do they die?

Vestal: Technically, yes, but the body would take 36 hours to start failing.

Raven: Vestal, you trust me, right?

Vestal: Yes, why?

Raven: Remove Oklahoma's and Arizona's wisdom cube.

Vestal: Wh-why?

Raven: Just do it. I can't tell you why.

Vestal: Fine Raven. However if they live, you owe me an explanation.

Raven: Fine.

Vestal then gave Raven the wisdom cube that belonged to Arizona. Raven rushed to the Lab as fast as he could.

*Timeskip*

Arizona and Oklahoma lived. Raven was about to start telling Vestal why he asked for the cubes.

Raven: So you know how I was a pathfinder and I needed a human host?

Vestal: Yes.

Raven: Alright, makes this easier. Well back while I was a human, I volunteered to be the first American shiphuman. What they did was they pulled out some siren blood, and injected it into my veins. It's very comfortable, except when you start convulsing from the heart coming in contact with it. That's why we weren't mass produced, not because of volunteers, but because of the death rate, you had a 0.5% chance of living through the convulsions. A couple years later, they finally incorporated the pathfinders with wisdom cubes and they would extract the siren blood...oh wait, it has been sitting in our blood stream for years, so it's mixed in. So, they made the wisdom cube a...hard drive of sorts. Now in my free time, I would always mess with my wisdom cube, tuning things up. Funny enough, the encryption of the wisdom cube is Morse code in my world, so I was able to translate via disabling something. Hell, when we were out on a mission and one of our wisdom cubes got damaged, I'd just temporarily fix it.

Vestal: Interesting.

Raven: Anyways the commander said he wanted me earlier.

Raven the left the medical ward, bound for the commanders office.

Once there Raven heard some familiar sounds...bad, familiar sounds.

Raven activated his rigging and burst through the door to see Albacore getting railed by the commander, Albacore crying.

Raven then lit the commander up with his anti-air batteries. Once the commander was confirmed KIA, Raven ran towards Albacore and comforted her with a hug.

Raven: Albacore, it's alright, I'm here.

Albacore kept crying.

Raven: What a cruel world this is...I actually have an idea!
