I woke up early for today, it was the day I could see Redwood after a while. I got up with a stretch and looked over to the side of the den. Laying there in their moss bed was Sombra. I still wonder how bad home life was for her if she's this defensive. "I wonder if I can convince her to talk about it when she's ready.." I thought to myself. I padded outside, the ground still wet from the thunderstorm last night. Certain areas of the land were flooded, at this point I was used to it but never liked it. I hoped there was still prey left after the storm. Eventually, I caught the scent of a crow. I lowered my body into a hunting crouch and crawled towards it. I then leapt and bit it's neck as it tried to fly away. I landed on the wet ground with a slight splash. 'Wonder if she's awake by now..' I padded back to the den to notice and was gone. I dropped the crow in surprise and rushed out. "SOMBRA? SOMBRA WHERE ON EARTH ARE YOU?!!" I yelled out, panicking. Sombra didn't know the land as well as I did, what if she was lost? I stopped to catch my breath, my legs were shaking from the fear when I heard a concerned voice come out from behind me. "Smokey.?" I quickly turned around. "Sombra! For stars sake are you okay?! Don't do that ever again!" I yelled. Sombra was crouched down as I hovered over her. "I just.. needed some fresh air, Smokey I'm fine." Sombra muttered out. Her voice sounded sad and was shaken. I stepped back with a quiet sigh. "Just.. tell me when you leave." I turned around and began walking when I was stopped by Sombra. "Where are you going.?" She muttered. "First you're coming with, and second to a friend's area." I stared at Sombra's confused face for a bit before continuing to walk. I could hear Sombra following me, I was somewhat worried but kept it out of my mind.Eventually we reached a lake, the lake in which we would take a break. Sombra, who was panting, collapsed onto the soft, dark green grass. She was really tired, it was obvious. I leaned against the side of the lake, waiting for any fish to come close enough to be hunted. I eventually dunked my head into the lake's water, pulling out a small yet big enough trout. I shook my face off as I set the trout down. I looked up at the stars, flicking my tail. Just then I heard a familiar voice, in the bushes. 'The hell?!' I thought to myself as I rushed over and moved the branches of the bush, seeing the cat I had been searching for.
"Redwood!" I whisper-yelled.. I was happy.! It had been years since I'd seen her, it appears she had brought her kits too. Redwood crawled out of the bush, two shapes following her. I nuzzled Redwood before looking down at the kits. "They've grown a lot since I've seen you." Redwood purred, mewing to Smokey. "You've raised them good," I started, before sighing as I continued; "considering their father's heartless." I finished. Redwood looked down at her two kits; Mellow and Raichu. The two boys were play fighting with each other. Redwood turned to Smokey again. "He.. wasn't too bad until I had his litter." She stated, pain showing in her eyes. "He was still bad.!" I hissed under my breath, I wanted to tear the tom that had treated Redwood with such disrespect to nothing but shreds, however Redwood always stopped them from doing so. "That reminds me, I need you to meet someone in the morning, for now though, let's sleep." I said, padding back over to the lake area as they followed me. We all sat down beside the lake, taking in the fresh, reed scent. I slowly closed my eyes as everything went black.

It reeked.. everything reeks of blood. I tried to moved but was pinned down. "Damnit!" I yowled, kicking someone's forearms. I heard them snarl and the jump back. I looked behind me and saw the same shape of.. my mom.! She had found me! Shit! I hissed, jumping up and lunging towards her. Something pulled me down though.. it was like a building on my back. I yowled in agony, turning around to see my former mate holding me down. I hissed, containing my tears from the intense pain on my back as claws sunk into it. It reeked worse now, but then I caught the scent of my.. my son and daughter!! No! I turned back around to my mother to see blood on her paws and two limp shapes. I cried out, not wanting to bare the agony and pain anymore..I awoke to someone aggressively shaking me. "Sombra wake the FUCK up!" Smokey shook me harder, they had clearly been worrying. I must've been crying in my sleep because I felt the fact that my cheek fur had been messed up by tears. I fluttered my eyes opened tiredly, it was early dawn.. "For star's sake.." Smokey sighed, setting me back down onto the grassy ground. "You were mewling in your sleep, moving around frantically." They stated as I looked at the ground ashamedly. "I'll let you rest a little longer, you'll need it." Smokey said as the padded over to some other cat and 2 small kits. I stared in that direction with confusion, but I tried not to pay too much attention. I leaned over to the side of the lake and began drinking water. It felt like it had been a while since I had a calming moment of being alone..or well, mostly alone. I looked up at the sky, the sunshine from the sunrise glowing on my fur. I teared up, a small smile appearing on my face. My tears eventually rolled down my face as I looked back down at the water. I hit the water with my paw and laughed slightly as I held up my dripping paw. "Oh mother.. you'll pay one day and Star knows it!" I hissed under my breath, my voice cracking with pain. I rested my body back onto the ground and relaxed for a little bit, for what to come would be a lot to handle.
