CHAPTER 7, A PREHISTORIC VERSION OF THE DARKWEB.

"Felix had turned without prior notice, otherwise I would have informed you, son," Mikhael explained as he walked over to his clearly flustered son.

"No, it is fine. I was just surprised that Sir Felix is here. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to search for me." Sage replied hastily, bowing his head slightly.

Taken aback by the 5-year-old's sudden formality, Felix quickly shook his head when he noticed Mikhael turn his gaze at him with a slight glare.

"No no! It is completely fine. I am always happy to help out His highness when needed." The red-haired stated as he nervously laughed.

"Right, well why don't you wash up and we can have a little talk with Felix. Your mother will be having dinner early without us so she can rest." Sage nodded his head, agreeing before heading on his way.

When the younger was out of their sight, Felix turned to Mikhael.

"You're right, your son is a lot more mature for his age." They both turned the opposite way, heading back inside.

"I know. By the many things he has shown Louise and me, I have no doubt of him understanding the past scars I carry. For now, he has not asked anything about it." Mikhael sighed.

"...Were you going to explain it to him? The Grand Duchess had mentioned that you wanted to tell him." Felix had a frown plastered on his face.

"No, after witnessing the wrath she released that day I have had second thoughts." The black-haired male shivered from the thought of his wife seething in anger.

Felix chuckles, nodding along. "Wouldn't expect less from the Grand Duchess herself."

They made their way into the guest room, discussing things related to the recent agreements made between different empires as dinner was being delivered was being brought in by a few servants.

"So has anything interesting happened in the Palace?" Mikhael asked as he brought the teacup up to his lips, taking a sip out of it. He eyed the food, spectating it to see if anything his son disliked was on it as the servants took their leave.

"Ah, His Majesty met his daughter for the first time since she was born a few days ago!" The Grand Duke's eyes widen as he felt himself reframing himself from spitting the tea out.

"What?" Felix laughed it off.

"His Majesty was going on a stroll and we ended up running into the little princess. I must say, for a child, she was really curious. She even bit into His Highnesses golden angel statue." The black-haired male stared at the knight with clear confusion.

"And this information managed to stay hidden from me for that long?" The red-haired male scratched his head nervously as a sheepish grin plastered on his face.

"His Majesty did not want to disturb you. He knew that you were recovering from the shock you went through after realizing your son wasn't in his usual ditching spot so he gave me a few days before telling you." Mikhael sighed.

"I can see where Claude is coming from but him meeting that child is also something very big. What happened?" Mikhael placed the teacup down and leaned forward, intent on finding out more.

"Well, during their first meeting His Majesty wanted to have tea with the princess. During that, he sent me out. I felt sorry for the princess as I could see what His Highness was trying to do." The red-haired let out a breath of exasperation.
