At the hospital
Julia's POV
I've never seen this beast so worried all my life. I mean, at school he doesn't seem to worry about anything I always see his bully and easy-go-lucky side.As we walk our way in the hospital he seems to walk very fast that makes me run after him with my long brown hair flying everywhere.
"Hey Ash what's happened?" Luke asked Ashton who was sitting anxiously outiside the operating room.
"Michael got beaten by bunch of gangsters outside the school this afternoon" Ashton stated.
"What? Is that the Kenji guy again?" Ashton nodded and Luke sighed putting his hands on his waist. "I swear that asshole is going to pay for this."
Kenji, the leader of a certain fraternity at school, happens to court Michelle, the girl dating Michael.
"How is he?" Luke looked through the OR window.
"I dont know Luke, I dont know" Ash sighed heavily.
I was standing at the corner feeling cold and sleepy. Damn it's 9:00 pm I shouldn't have gone with Luke. Auntie will be so worried about me by now. I took a glance on my phone expecting text message from Aunt. I replied saying that I'll be coming home in an hour and that she doesn't need to worry about me.
After half an hour of silence the doctor came out.
"Where are the family members of Mr. Michael Clifford?" The surgeon asked while removing his surgical mask revealing a disappointed face.
"Umm.. they aren't here yet. His family went on vacation to Paris but we're his friends...I'm Luke Hemmings " Luke hurriedly responsed as he stands beside the surgeon waiting for the news.
"I'm so sorry Mr. Luke. We did our best." The surgeon left us all stunned.
"Ahhhhhhhh this can't be happening" Luke shouted punching the wall while Ashton still remained in his last position but crying. I rushed to Luke to comfort him and stop him from punching the wall.
"Luke calm down, please don't hurt yourself" Were all the words I've said.
It was kinda strange seeing Ashton that way though but I didn't took much of attention to it.The moment I've let go of Luke from my hug, he barged in the OR doors and ran to Michael's corpse I suppose laying on the operating bed covered with white blanket.
"Michael please wake up! Dont be an asshole... " Luke tried to wake him up by slapping his face. As I slowly walk towards Luke to comfort him, I noticed a familiar face behind the mask standing with the other nurses but I looked away and proceeded to Luke.
"This is all my fault man, I shouldn't have left you alone. I forgive you.... and you can call me breadstick just w--" Luke stopped when he noticed a little laugh underneath the blanket.
Luke removed the blanket over Michael.
"Hi breadstick!" Michael greeted with a grin on his face.
Ashton bursted into laughter and so as Calum. I knew it. It was Calum who was standing with the nurses awhile ago.
"Damn it you little shit!" Luke yelled throwing the blanket he's holding. "How could you ...I'm taking back all I've said. You're still not forgiven and--"
"but we can call you breadstick " Ashton, Calum and Michael teased Luke in unison.
"Shut up!" Luke bantered.
I bursted into laughter. "Hahaha breadstick! what a cute last name 'Luke Breastick' " Halfway through my line, I noticed they were all staring at me.
"What?" I shyly said to everyone
"Julia?" Calum recognized me and looked at Luke. "
"You know each other?" Luke confusingly said trying to hit Michael with a shoe.
"Yeah" Calum and I both said.
"So who's this unlucky girl breadstick?" Michael asked teasing Luke.
"I'll kill you Michael Clifford why do you have to make me look like a fool and stop calling me breadstick " Luke said but this time he's trying to hit Michael with a flower vase.
"Stop it Lucas" Ashton giggled and grabbed Luke on his waist carrying him away from Michael like a little kid.
"April Fools Man" Calum exclaimed
The night surely went deeper and we all end up laughing at the top of our lungs.
