The Beginning of the End

Unprecedented you could call it. For one of the most powerful entities in the known universe to have a child. The Didact, a prestigious promethean leader and ruler, whose sole purpose was to eliminate the human race from existence. Shortly after Hydri Didact was born, his mother died from afterbirth complications. Leaving the Didact with a son to raise.

               Raising was an understatement. He was sent to a military Academy like all how of the other prometheans his age went to train and mature into emotionless killing machines in battle. Hydri wasn't just good, he excelled and passed the expectations set. Maybe it was the fact that he was half human half promethean but that didn't stop him. In the 17 years he was there, he'd become a ruthless assassin, cruel interrogator, and had learned how to use his inherited parents powers. 

                  *Four weeks later...*  Hydri had a free period as he went to their communications lab and locked the door behind him. No one was there with him and he had swiped his teachers access card to make sure he could expand the frequencies beyond their home star system. Then he took out his short Z-110 pistol, shooting the cameras so that way he wouldn't watch.

              It was time for him to get to work. He pushed the card inside the terminal and set the proximity sensor to as far as it would reach and put the headphones on, turning the mic on. It had intercepted a transmission from the Circinius IV system. Hydri listened to the full thing as he grinned with excitement. He long knew that the promethean goal was to eliminate the human race and that this was his chance to be the insider and learn what their weaknesses were. Luckily to his advantage, the transmission was an automated message.

    Hydri recorded it and downloaded it to the hard drive where he reset the communications equipment back to the original settings. Then it was straight to his father where Hydri would find him in a royal meeting. The guards wouldn't let him in but Hydri decided otherwise. He had snagged some flashbangs as he ran in the opposite direction, enabling his jump pack as he jumped and threw the flashes at the guards feet detonating them on impact.

    The bangs were clearly loud as it shook the hall interrupting the meeting and his father exiting the hall with a death glare. Hydri smirked and went down where he was pulled into the meeting by the ear while getting cussed out in front of everyone before getting let go. His father insisted why he had to interrupt. Being the brat but eager son of a bitch to tell everyone, Hydri plugged in the hard drive on the center of the table and played the transmission out loud.

    After the playing of the transmission, there was hushed whispers and talk of excitement as a proud look from his father said it all. Hydri was given permission to go and be the dual agent at the UNSC Academy. Though there were some changes that had to be made and equipment that was to be provided for him while he stayed at the academy. Cloaking devices to spy around at night and hidden cameras so they would learn every entrance and exit. Prometheans were smart and anyone that was remotely fully human were inferior to the other specimen out there.
