CHAPTER ONE - About Myself

Pogue Central, as I Call It!

Standing in the house I grew up in, thinking about life.

Hi, my name is Ella Marie Routledge, I'm 17-18 years old, and I have a younger brother, John Booker Routledge, who is roughly 16-17 years old. We live in a little place called the Chateau; it is beautiful here!

We lived with our parents, but they left 15 years ago. We call my father's brother Uncle T as we call him, but he's been gone well; technically, he is out of town, working, so I've- sorry, John B and I have had the house to ourselves, anyway, let's move on.

My alarm goes, and as I roll over, I look at the time, 9 am, I get up to get the boys up... Knowing my brother, I hear footsteps; as I open up my door, I see my younger brother with the biggest smile on his face... John B knew of my crush on his best friend, I walked out to see my brother's best friend, the blonde bad boy, the only other boy I would let rip my heart out and stomp on it (which I know he wouldn't), JJ Maybank, but sadly, my stupid brother made a rule up, "no pogue on pogue macking."

But he did make it for JJ and me. Let's move on now, JJ Maybank is John B's age, so he is 16 years old, JJ hasn't always had the best life; his mom disappeared, which caused his father to hate him... I hate his father; JJ never likes to talk about his father or the house he lives in. He does come and stay with us often, so you could say he does live with us.

"Hey there, how are you?" I ask him while smiling at him; he looks up at me and smiles.

"Hey, E, I'm doing okay; how was your sleep?" he questions me, but before I could answer him, our friend decides to join us, Pope Heyward.

"Hey guys and Ella," he says before I run up to him and hug him.

Pope Heyward is the brains of the group; he is always one of MY BEST FRIENDS; his father owns and runs the most amazing seafood store in Kildare Island, it does provide whole island food, which I think is great! Most people think it's gross because Pope is known for being a 'pogue'.

JJ and John B look straight at Pope and run towards him before tackling him, while walking towards the boys, I roll my eyes before trying to pull the boys off of Pope, suddenly a voice is heard from behind us, "That's enough boy!" I look straight into the person and so do the boys, we notice who it is, standing at the door, my sister from another mother, Kiara Carrera, Kie (as we call her), she's sort of this hippy chick, she cares about the Earth and everything that comes with it. Mr and Mrs C are very wealthy as they own The Wreck, she was a kook but realized she would never fit in the Kook so ended up being a Pogue.

I quickly run up to her while realizing who it was and hug her tightly, "I missed you, sweetie!" I said to her.

"I missed you too, my girl," she says to me, Kie was out of town with her parents, I couldn't tell you why or do I want to know why, her parents don't like John B or JJ, they seem to like myself, but I don't know if it was just an act.

BUZZ BUZZ

I grab my phone to see who had messaged me, realizing that it was Rafe Cameron, the man who I had fallen in love with for a while and is my best friend's older brother (he also happens to be my best friend as well).

"Hi Rafe, what's up? Everything okay?" I question Rafe.

"Hey El, I just wanted to see if you could come over, Wheezie is coming home from her vacation," Rafe says, wait Wheezie is coming home!

"WAIT WHEEZ IS COMING HOME!?" I excitedly yell into my phone... Sorry, Rafe.

"Yeah, she is, Dad told me to ring you and ask if you wanted to come over? Since you're a big part of the family," Rafe says while laughing.

"Of course, yes, I will be there! I just must do a few things before coming over, but I shouldn't be any more than two or three hours before I'll be over!" I say to him excitedly.

We end the call and I look up to see, JJ Maybank walking into the room... Good god, he is so beautiful...

"Oh, what's up, J?" I ask him, but he just stands there, looking at me with a beautiful smile on his face.

Before he walks away, I grab him and hug him.

"E, why are you-" I quickly cut him off.

"Shush," I shush him, "I just need a hug from my second favourite guy," I say quietly.

After a while, I walk out of the room and bump into JohnB.

"Who was that on the phone? Everyone out here could hear yelling and I kind of got worried," he says, we sat down, and I explained everything.

Let me explain everything to you, shall I?

The Camerons are Kook Royalty, Rafe and I use to go to school together, pretty sure we are the same age, if not, he is a year older, I am guessing.

Rafe can be the sweetest guy, but he can also be an asshole, only if you make him angry. Rafe and I did date for a while but that's a whole different story I might tell you, he was going downhill before we start dating but I made him slightly better.

Then there's, Kook princess, my Sarah, she has to be one of the kindest people I know, Kie and her used to be close but they had a falling out, really don't know why though, but sadly, she is with my ex, Topper Thornton, the guy, I highly dislike, he is a complete and utter idiot in my opinion, best mates with Rafe and Rafe knows I cannot stand him one bit.

Nearly forgot the youngest Cameron, Wheezie, also known as my Wheezy-bear, Wheezie is the only reason why her Father knows me, after their mother had left, Ward was so busy, trying to run a business that he couldn't talk care of Wheezie and Rafe knew I had no money, trying to survive so he spoke to his father, and I got the job.

Am I missing anyone?

Uh, yea wait, Mr Cameron, well he allows me to call him, Ward. He is the father of Rafe, Sarah and Wheezie, he is extremely wealthy, which makes my stomach turn the wrong way, but according to Sarah and Wheezie, he does put his money into good things.

And then there's his wife, Rose Cameron, she's a sweetheart, a bit strict to Rafe, Sarah and Wheezie but the need it, honestly makes me a bit upset, as Rose says, I am a part of the family, but I don't know.

Well anyway, I think I've covered everything.
