"Honey... Honey" my mother quietly says as she lightly shakes my shoulder, careful not to wake my 12 year old sister across the room.

"Sweetie, you have to wake up or you'll be late for your meeting with the Carmichael's." My mother gently states as I roll over to face her in the dark room.

"How early is it mother?" I question, as I lay on my back and rub my eyes gently with a soft yawn escaping my pink lips.

"It's 7:30 Delilah, come on you have to hop up so I can get Silvia to make your bed, your breakfast is down stairs waiting for you" She says clearly in a hushed tone as my sister rolls over to face opposite us, as she peacefully sleeps.

"Okay, I'll be down in a moment" I say to her as she quietly gets up and leaves my room.

The Carmichael's are a very rich family that my parents have been friends with for many years. Their oldest son, Joseph - is married my oldest sister Marie, they are both 21 and love each other very much. I have a meeting - more of a gathering for tea, today to discuss me becoming their 2nd oldest sons wife, who is my age - 16 who they and my parents plan for me to marry once I turn 19.
His name is Timothy and he is quite the preppy boy might I say, he has crystal blue eyes, blonde hair that is cut in a very preppy manner, as well as him having tan skin, just like his brother and parents.
He is a nice young boy, a gentleman might I say, he holds doors open for me as well as greets me with a compliment.
I wouldn't mind marrying him, if I were interested in dating him first.

My parents are very sophisticated but lovely people, they only want what's best for me and my 2 sisters. They say "being with a gentleman is one thing, but being with a gentleman that is wealthy is another... That Delilah is what you should want. Someone who can support you for the rest of your days, as well as treat you with respect".

I agree slightly, I would be set up for the rest of my days, but I could not possibly marry someone if I did not share a mutual feeling with them - as well an not wanting to be a free loading girl.

I slip out of bed as I place my feet into my slippers. Slowly and carefully getting up, careful not to wake up my light sleeping sister.

Her name is Elizabeth, she - like me and Marie, have brunette hair that is always curled delicately, coming to mid waist. As well as blue eyes and a fair complexion, not to mention our Rosie cheeks that we inherited from our mother.

I begin to walk down the stairs, after leaving my room and slowly closing the door.
I walk into the kitchen to see a glass of tea, a bowl of porridge with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and cherries decorating the top. Along with a drizzle of honey.

I walk over and sit at the table, next to where my mother normally sits - which is next to my father on her other side. My mothers name is Helena-Elise and my fathers name is Gregory. They both met each other at the park one day when my mother was visiting her grandmothers place when they were both 15, they later married when they were 21 and had my sister Marie when they were 22.

I smile as I place my first spoonful of porridge with some berries on it, as I remember the first time I was told the story of how they met when I was only 9 years old, my father sat me on his lap as he called my mother into the room and told me tiny pieces of their time together before being married. They are still very much in love.

I take a sip of my tea as my mother sat down next to me and showed me the news paper headline that read 'Convenient Store Robbed By Gang' as a story followed beneath it.

"I'm not surprised Delilah, these gangs going around are very dangerous, silly silly boys... Trying to make people afraid of them" she states with a shake of the head as she sips her tea and folds the newspaper up and places it so my father can read it when he takes place at the table.

"It's indeed very silly mother, I am just glad that I have morals and I don't need to rob a convenient store" I say as I take my final spoonful of porridge in to my mouth.

"Your very lucky Delilah, a lot of you girls would love to be in your shoes" she says with a caring time in her voice as she gives me a small smile and kisses me on the cheek as she picks up my empty bowl and empty cup, and takes it into the kitchen for Silvia to clean up.

Silvia is a lovely woman who has worked for our family since Marie was born 21 years ago. My parents thought it would be best to get a maid to clean our house while they are busy with their days. We all care a lot for Silvia, she is a lovely woman who we treat with a lot of respect.

I find Silvia in the laundry room as I thank her for making my breakfast for me as I get handed a lovely light pink plaited dress for today.
"You are welcome sweetie, you better get ready or you will be late" she states with a smile as she ushers me off to the restroom.

Once in there I wash my face carefully with cold water, I then undress from my night clothes as I put on the dress that Silvia handed to me.

It came down and stopped in the middle of my shins and covered my shoulders just above my elbow.
The neck line had a beautiful white collar with 2 lace flowers at the ending points. I then sit on a seat to place on my light pink socks, with a lace like material at the top, making it's way around the circumference of my ankle as I then place on my inch high cream heels.

I stand up and brush through my long hair as I delicately place a flowered head band on top of my head as I smile at my appearance.
