What are Jewels? Jewels are the non-denominational unit of monetary currency of Fiore just like our own Currency in the real life. For comparison purposes, 100 Jewels is approximately USD$1. well lets add some more so that it would be easier to understand the conversion 1 jewel is equivalent to 1¢ and add 9 jewel is 10¢ 50 jewels is 50¢ and then move on towards the USD that about 1000 jewels is basically 100$ and so forth that around 1000000 and so forth with how much it equals to (as I don't know the true conversion of that which is somewhere under $1,000,000) The known prices of what each item cost since in the manga and anime where it would show how much from each of the prices that happens in there which is from each price that are posted to those who want to buy for example Lucy's posing service which by the flying exceed named happy who he put it for 100 Jewel per pose.

There are other prices for other shit that seems to be from 500 Jewel up to 5,000 Jewel. There are other ways of ways to earn Jewels from living in Fiore which it is doing Missions all over in different parts some leading from Magnolia to Crocus. Most of the time those missions would have different prices of those rewards that any of the different guilds members want for example Natsu and happy wants it for food, Lucy wants them for her rent. At the (same) time that for the other members of the guild where no one knows for what reason they want, well except for Cana who would spend it on alcohol all the time she could (and I'm more surprised by her not dying from liver failure) There are some examples of the rewards that came from any of those missions that guild members would do like Pet Care for 20,000 (which can be from many different types of ways of mission rewards that many of the guild members would earn from that mission they took. The other missions there are that are mostly usually some good ones that start around like teaching at Magic School for kids, Mining for Crystals, Hunting a Tiger, Subdue of Monster, Magic Show, Treasure Hunt, Thief Subdue, Treasure Hunt (again), Monster Hunt, The Duke of Everlue mission (which it went from 200,000 Jewels to it being increased to 2,000,000 Jewels), Subdue Illegal Magic school, Subjugation mission, Capture the escaped convict and guild hunter Velveno (That also increased from 2,000,000 Jewels to 4,000,000 Jewels) and Save Galuna Island which gave 7,000,000 Jewels and a Gold Celestial spirit key of Sagittarius the archer. There are other ways of gaining Jewels which is from taking two things which are Miss Fairy Tail contest which is for 500,000 Jewels and then there is the Grand Magic Games which that victory prize for any of the guilds is around 30,000,000 Jewels
