Lauren's P.O.V
When I was swimming I felt the sandbank disappear under neath my feet I kept saying to myself 'just keep swimming' I raised my hand into the air so someone would come and save me.
I saw someone coming he had brown curly hair. He grabbed my arm and pulled me onto his board. A massive wave was looming behind us as he paddled we got flung into the water. As I resurfaced I held on to the board.
All I saw that the man who came wasn't on the surface. I looked down into the water. I saw a human figure. I dived down to investigate it was the lifeguard I grabbed his arm and pulled him up the the board by now we were 100 meters out to sea. I lifted him onto the board and I checked for a pulse he had a very faint pulse. 'how am I supposed to get him to shore' I thought to myself. I had watched a few episodes of bondi rescue so I climbed up on the board and started to paddle in. The rip was taking us further out to sea. Back on the beach I saw no one noticed that the lifeguard was missing . I was now far enough out to paddle to Tamarama so I was paddling out and I was half way to Tama. When he regained consciousness I turned him into the recovery position (which is difficult to do on a rescue board) he threw up water. I asked him " do you know where you are?"
"No" he replied wearily. So he sufferd a concision. Don't move I'll get you to shore safely. I was paddling back and we got to know each other (well aswell as you can with a concussed man). We reached Tamarama another lifeguard came up to me and asked me what happened.
So I said "I was at bondi I was swimming between the flags I lost my footing on the sandbank so he rescued me a wave took us under and he hit his head so he has a concussion and maybe spinal injuries and a fractured rib. He was unconscious when I pulled him out but he had a pulse a rip dragged us out to sea so I paddled here"
"Well my names Jesse and you just saved Deano what is your name?" He asked.
"My name is Lauren will he be okay"
"Yes, but your mum......
